Here in this video we see Central Coast recycling truck 50 in action with the my good mate Alan behind the wheel of his fast paced and hard working truck, in the suburb of The Entrance on a sunny Friday Morning collecting the yellow lidded recycle bins during the Christmas/New Year period 2015. Things can get pretty heavy in The Entrance during the summer holiday periods due to all the extra people choosing to stay on holidays in the beach side suburb of The Entrance. I managed to meet up and film with Remondisgarbofan21 and we had an awesome time and a good chat along the way, be sure to stay tuned for his footage coming soon.
This driver managed to get the whole Entrance holiday unit area on in two loads just and it would have easily been a third load if truck 47 did not come to help cut out a few bins nearing the end of the day. Plenty of packing and smashing glass in this video and you will also notice nearly every bin is loaded with heavy recycle. The Pendulum packer can not just keep up with the constant loading of recyclables from the hopper (mostly struggles with the cardboard) and a paddle packer would be more suited for this type of waste stream and especially in the unit areas. Truck 50 works daily in Wyong Shire Council collecting recycling 5 days a week with Alan behind the wheel.
Remondis is the current contractor for both Wyong and Gosford Councils (Central Coast region), the contract started in February 2008 and finishes up in 2018. I had an awesome time filming this truck and I hope you guys enjoy the vid as much as enjoyed filming Truck 50 on this Friday morning.
