This group has been doing this for decades. I see some that I knew back in 2012. NYC is full of little pockets of life, love it there.

This is the oldest crowd I have seen. Please take that as a compliment! Recently KZfaq recommended a skate channel. I am fascinated that Adults are skating. Just never knew. Some are really in shape.

I am now considered "old" LOL... I used to be regularly at the Central Park Dance Skaters events. I haven't been there in 20 years, but I just getting brand new skates that are more moveable than my old ones (5 wheel speed skates, good for speed and distance, not for dancing) and will start participating this year again (I live in walking distance to Central Park) This has been "so New York" because EVERYBODY danced together, physicians, architects, stay at home moms/dads and homeless people! *Every culture and socioeconomic part of NYC is represented... It truly is a lot, A LOT of fun!*

@@udornyc Well u r a brave soul. Not skated 20 years, yikes go slow, cause guess what it hurts falling as an adult. When we were kids we were so close to the ground, rarely felt anything. If they are filming give a peace sign, then I can say know a skater in Central Park😎. May it meet your expectations-Have Fun 🛼!

@@gracie2298 Oh, Gracie, maybe I wasn't clear enough, it's not that I didn't skate in 20 years, it's that I didn't participate at the roller dance in Central Park. I didn't skate in three or four years, but I used to skate for speed and endurance, using 5 wheeled speedskates and those are VERY cumbersome (length) to use for dancing. That wasn't fun. Now, I am purchasing new, urban skates (Rollerblade Twister Edge 110 3WD) that provide me the agility needed for small turns and dancing. Also, I am not a couch potato I have been a competitive martial artist for 30 years since childhood), mountain climber and hiker and many other activities. that I am still doing!

@@udornyc Sorry took haven’t been there in 20 years as no skating. New skates sounds like fun. I keep making the comment on skating channels that are inside, have the pokes sit out & let the speeders do their thing. Some people are flying & that one how the guy skates backwards and captures everything. He must have nerves of steel! Shall be looking for the ☮️ sign. Stay healthy!

Lost in the rain for over an hour searching for this circle today 😂😫 God. Help. Me. Good thing I was on a bicycle with my roller skates on my back in a backpack. Smdh. By the time I found it I was too tired & annoyed - plus it’s pouring down raining. I’m soak & wet.

there are 2 songs blended together, the early song is called 'running away [dr. packer remix]' by belezamusica. then near the end it turns into 'nothing is the same' by ivan jack. i thought it was 1 complete song. but that's why djs are good at their trade.
