Dec2023 - My wife's 2018 Ram 2500 Crewcab 4wd 6.7L Cummins beast of a motor with the 3.42 ratio. I installed these Centramatics several years ago. We don't drive the truck much. It only has less than 36k miles after 5 years. We put a 4wheel popup camper on it back in Sept 2022. I did add a steering brace before the Centramatics. This truck rides very smoothly up to 105mph.

Update video on these plz

Wow, this video was excellent! Using the water bottle as a representation of the vibrations in the cab was perfect. This has been the most concise while also comprehensive video of the installation and the performance of this type of wheel balancing tech I've seen so far. Thank you so much for taking the time to post this!

Just installed on my 95 f250 ford that has always been a rough riding SOB and to make things worse i installed a set of bead to bead retread from treadwright tires a very heavy tire but saved a lot of money on them they were a pain in the back side to get balanced never did get them correct so i put a set of balances on and did make a huge difference in the vibration on its first test run at 65 mph, 220 dollars for these was spendy when you start adding shipping cost is why i got mine from a trucking company out of Florida same price but free shipping

Did you clean the mud off before you installed the centramatics or at least leave the mud on with the centramatics so we could have a proper test video?

Any update how well the balancers are?

Have you ever done an update on these? I just got mine today for my 2012 3500. I hope they work.

Did they work?
@paullundell80092 жыл бұрын
@@itsashedthing6123 I can absolutely tell a difference with them. You never pay attention to them but every time I look over at an empty passenger seat, that shake is definitely minimized.

Do you think it can work for a 2005 Ford F 350 Dully Truck that a spacer has been installed on the front wheels before and if it will work where will the balancers be.

Did you keep the balancing beads as well with the centramatics?
@OutpostCTD5 жыл бұрын
Yep I did. When I move to my next set of tires I will have just the centramatics by themselves.

You do realize that the mud is the majority of the balance issue?
@deanguidry65663 жыл бұрын
part of your problem is the dirt on your wheels
@rickl66973 жыл бұрын
He had the beads in his tires. The beads should have stopped the vibration even with the mud. Unless he didn't have enough. That's one advantage of these over fixed lead weights. They will adjust to a temporary out of balance condition like mud, snow, a rock in your tire etc. With or without the mud in the rim or on the tire they will automatically adjust.

That amount of dirt will not cause it to be that bad...it's only a film

A hundred people are going to tell you that mud on your rims was your problem. Interesting product though. I have an elusive balance issue with my 04 Ram 2500 that starts right at 70 mph.

I probably shouldn't have showed that mud haha. The issue was present well before that mud got there though

Mud on wheel definitely isn’t helping.

I have an 07 Ram 2500 Hemi and just installed these this weekend. It makes a noticeable difference, I wouldn’t call mine ‘smooth as silk’ like the video shows but definitely rides nicer. When hitting a seam in the road, like going over an overpass, the bumps don’t feel as jarring as they did before. My son, who drives it now, said he can definitely tell a difference. I’ve spent several thousand dollars trying to make the front end feel better and the $215 for these has probably made the most noticeable difference. My truck is stock, not lifted, standard size tires. Only after market stuff is a steering stabilizer and Bilstein shocks all the way around. I did get 76,000 miles out of my last set of Michelin 60k rated totes, so I’ll be curious to see what I get out of the Coopers that I just put on. Roughly 191,000 miles on the truck. My two cents...

@@OutpostCTD I appreciate that you showed it and didn't clean it. Keeping the mud on there before and after the installation kept the experiment honest. Plus, it's such a good representation of real world conditions and how the balancers can adapt to changes in wheel conditions on the fly, like mud getting stuck to the wheel, then drying out, then falling off, etc. Cars don't exist only in laboratory conditions and this proves even more so that the product works where it matters.
