I don’t know what it is about that animation style but I genuinely prefer it over most others, Vader’s movements just look and feel different, like there’s actual power and uncontrolled ferocity in each step and swing of his lightsaber

The choreography makes sense, it doesn't has much of this cringy flips that modern movies use for their action sequences. Also, the anime style and vfx has that particular touch.

One of the central reasons palpatine wanted to replace vader after mustafar was that he was disappointed his prized creation, his #2 of destiny, had been so badly mauled in his physical form. I mean dudes body was rekt. This always inspired resentment of anakin in palpatine. It also notably left Anakin more limited in his movements, going from swishy flips to power strikes without much manueverability. Now in reality, it was to address (storywise) the tech limits of filming at the time, but I always really liked that vaders movements were jerky and rigid in the films. Its also noted that wearing that suit hurts like a bitch constantly.

That's because movies nowadays aren't showing villains but soon to be good guys or redeemable villains Vader isn't except for Luke his own Son When The people behind the creation of scenarios will remember again to write villains who actually are villains then MAYBE one day we will find a villain as legendary and remembered as Darth Vader is

I like how when anikin becomes Vader, he drops the wasted movements he had as anikin. He doesn't need to jump around and show off anymore now he'll just win.

Pretty much this the suit limited his movement alot it also hurt to do very strenuously things so jumping dodging and being agile hell even just breathing hurt like a mother fucker. So you go with rigid blocks and strong heavy kills rather then being flashy.

@@GineuEpine it forced him to be ruthlessly efficient with every swing of his saber and movement of his body. Which is scary if you think about it, a human in so much consant pain that they were forced to move perfectly without exerting any excess effort. Like a machine almost.

This animation makes me want to see the Sequels remade into the beautiful thing it could have been. Each and every turn of the Sequels when they began, it was rich with possibility and with potential to make something that will both immortalize what was of star wars and create something new. Rey, Hux, Kylo and Finn, they each had so much potential. Every one of them was wasted.

This is the Vader we should have gotten from Disney. Dont get me wrong, Disney Vader isnt terrible. But this one just looks and feels so intimidating. They way he uses his skills to kill as many people as possible is so brutal. From 1:10-1:30 just feels so Vader. All we really need now is to watch Vader slowly break someones bones until they are mush and we have a truly dark and evil Vader.

I like the parts where it cuts from kylo ren to vader and then back again. A boy trying to carry on a legacy that will last for centuries. Who does everything vader does but it doesn’t land like vader does.
