I noticed in several of these dramas the husband tells the wife it is considered legally acceptable for him to do whatever he wants to her including chaining her up and restricting her freedom of movement and contact with others. She has no rights after marriage just owned by husband and no one interferes however badly he treats her. Very happy not to live with this culture.
