We will travel to a fictional, dystopian San Francisco watched over by ctOS 2.0 a computing network connecting every device together into a single system, developed by technology company Blume. Follow our Hacktivists as they hack their way to justice, shaming billionaires and perverts, calling the S.W.A.T on toxic gamers and saving peoples lives on the way.
Sri is back in the midst of a "Dedsec vs the World" hacking battle... giving us more insight into hacking.

Actually, there IS a certification called "Certified Ethical Hacker" for cybersecurity consultants. Gamology didn't "add" it. That's what it LITERALLY says on the certificate.

Gamology, I think you should tell him that the story of Watch Dogs series is everything is connected, with the same OS being used and they already put a backdoor in the ctOS network, giving the hackers access. Or you should bring him back, this time let him play the story so he knows what's up.

Well even if they are bonded by the same os they have different firmware and use cases for each device so hacking ctos makes things easier to pivot to those devices but you still have to deal with security protocols

@@nixcution4935 that is true! Like, for example, if you hack into Google doesn't mean you can have access to all Android and ChromeOS devices connected to it. However, in Watch Dogs, everything is centralized and always recording, too. You can see this in Watch Dogs 1, where you can watch a captured footage from all kinds of devices through the ctOS servers. What I'm saying is they don't really need to hack each and every devices or deal with data acquisition of every type of device since they are already inside the ctOS itself who does that. But, maybe I'm wrong.

When he mentioned the “zombie network” they showed a picture of Frankenstein which I don’t know if it was intentional but Watch Dogs 2 uses the same image frequently, so if it was intentional then nice attention to detail.

I think a cool idea for a video would be to have a Mechanical Engineer react to Generation Zero. A game about robots taking over Sweden in the 80s. Get their thoughts on how the enemies in the game look and how realistic and functional the different designs are for the robots. Love the series.

in Watch Dogs you sorta choose which hacking you do? That is you can hack everyone and everything and cause chaos or you can just become a digital Batman and go after all the evil-doers and abusers of the world. Like exposing sex trafficking rings and bring the authorities right to them. (which tbh would be the way I'd go in the game. I'm one of those people who go for that kind of 'good guy' route in games. Like in Dishonored I always make Low Chaos choices)
