Hi Chris, Can I ask how you setup your Deluxe Reverb's base tone before you hit it with the Texan Twang? What volume is the amp at and what attenuation level do you use on the Hot Plate to get that just breaking up clean tone? Are you still using Hot Plates? Thanks!
@jmnjoe13 жыл бұрын
So do I have to have a fender deluxe or a super reverb to get that tone or can I use my marshall clean channel to achieve a similar tone. Its a hard question I know. But If i can save a few dollars here and there it can help

Declan Corcoran hiya Declan, I’ve always just used a hot plate so can’t comment on anything else I’m afraid, but do know that I’d always have to use an amp with an attenuator from now on. Thanks so much for the support!

If you had to,purchase one out of the two what would. It be …the fuzz or pedal pawn?
@ChrisKingRobinson3 жыл бұрын
Hi Heidi, Thanks a lot for the question. It’s hard to choose just one haha! The Pedal Pawn Fuzz is designed for tremendous clean up when rolling back your guitars volume knob & then when you roll up your volume.. you get full fat FUZZ!! The Pedal Pawn Texan Twang has similar glassy clean up with the guitars volume knob (even more on the HI setting) though then as opposed to Fuzz.. you get a really Twang-like fat boost / overdrive / Twang when rolling the guitars volume knob up 😀 Hope that helps a bit!
@heeids3 жыл бұрын

To be honest...your base tone sounds pretty good to me and I would most likely use that one on stage versus either of these. It's not that they (both pedals) don't sound authentic it's just a lot of noise for me. Good vid though. Just my 2 cents worth. peace
@michaeljones6948 Жыл бұрын
Twang me thinks 👍
@skaboosh4 жыл бұрын
How can you play with that level of buzz?
@davidbakerscuba3 жыл бұрын
Gain and volume on true single coil pickups with 60 cycle hum. If you play loud, which you have to do to naturally overdrive a tube amp, single coils hum loudly. It’s just part of the deal with playing a Strat. You can’t hear it when you’re actually playing though. You can’t get truly great tube tone unless you’re pushing the amps hard.
@rickya38772 жыл бұрын
I'm sure he sounds just as good sobor 😙
@mahkyb3 ай бұрын
Yeah, that amount of buzz would drive me nuts. Def need a noise suppressor or something to tame that.

@nopeandnope63064 жыл бұрын
The tone and dynamics are awesome but that 60 is pretty rough. Im sure there are some ways around it, a well shielded guitar and a decent power conditioner might do the trick.
@iagobroxado3 жыл бұрын
I kinda doubt. That's basically a single transistor rangemaster circuit, the noise is part of the nature of the thing.
@nopeandnope63063 жыл бұрын
@@iagobroxado We actually had to trouble shoot a very similar scenario a couple weeks ago in a session with another rangemaster clone, it worked to a point with single coils, probably 50% reduction in noise floor but not quiet by any means.
@spencerferrier385717 күн бұрын
As far as voicing goes, by my ear, the Diaz is more throaty with a bit more mid in the tone. The Texas Twang has a nasal quality to it. Both are stellar Texas blues pedals, IMO. FAR cheaper than putting a '64 neck on a '63 Strat Amp with extra heavy guage strings and played through a Fender tube amp.😅
@aniketdatta24503 жыл бұрын
While this sounds really cool, your dry tone is already very SRV to my ears. I doubt I could get even close to the SRV sound using this at home, considering the types of guitars and amps I have. But that much is obvious, amps and guitars are just as important as pedals. Very good work with the pedal though and also your playing is exquisite.. I'm sure they are selling like hot cakes by now!
@meisterjubjub76063 жыл бұрын
I find that it gets a little easier to do that cranked amp SRV thing at home with an attenuator. You might get what you need if you pick one up.
@aniketdatta24503 жыл бұрын
@@meisterjubjub7606 I'm not talking about the volume issue only but also the guitar and amp choices. While the pedals claim to be SRV in a box, will I get even remotely close to the SRV sound using a Telecaster and a Laney Cub212R? I don't think so. It has to be a fender style amp and a strat style guitar in my experience. Better to use these amazing pedals to get your own sound from your own rig and not plug in just about anything and expect instant SRV.
