Also bought a unissued bayonet from RTG. It's similar to your type two, but has roll pins instead of rivets. It has no serial number, extremely feint markings, and a black scabbard. I have another type two that is not sharpened. What's the story on these? Training bayonets?

Numrich has Cetme L bayonets on sale right now for $40. They’re used, very good condition and I’m curious what category you’d place them in. They appear to have two rivets at the pommel and two at the guard, a black pommel, a green scabbard, and a anchor stamp. This is just judging by the description and photo as mine doesn’t get here till sometime next week

Did you get it yet and does it have an anchor and green scabbard? If it’s got two rivets instead of the single roll pin it’s definitely a “type 2”. I believe the navy type twos ether all had green scabbards or some did. It’s possible the navy didn’t use the black scabbard until the “type 3” bayonet.

@@BrowncoatNerd Got it a couple days ago. It came with two rivets, black pommel, and green scabbard. Still had the Spanish inventory tag attached although it’s clearly been used. The stampings are too light for me to clearly make out what’s there besides the serial number

@@samuelhope6817 for light marks this sometimes works, take a picture of it with you phone. Then zoom in and play with the filters and brightness/contrast. Hopefully that helps.

@@BrowncoatNerd Underneath the serial number, I can make out the regular stamp with the gear and sword. There is another stamp on the other side of the blade but it is far too faint to make out any sort of details. The serial number begins with ET which I believe your video references as being Army, not Navy.

Interestingly, the listing for the bayonet claims the second stamp is the anchor
