I’m a huge VakifBank fan from Mexico. I honestly didn’t even want to watch this match after they lost 3-0 to Fenerbahce last time. I was working so i wasn’t on social media when the match was on. When i got home, a friend of mine who loves Macris told me: I can’t believe your team made it to the finals. I was in shock. This was a whole different team from last time, Fener had been unstoppable for the last few matches, they won 3-0 over Conegliano, Eczacibasi and VakifBank itself, 3 of the best teams in the world. In fact, those 3 teams have the best opposites in the world, Haak, Bosko and Egonu. Bajema deserved that MVP award, she didn’t hesitate under pressure but i’m surprised by Cansu’s performance, it was a delight. Everyone got to shine because of her, those sets to the outside hitters were on point. Ogbogu, Egonu and Gabi were so solid. Ayca was really good this time, she was struggling last time with the serves. And that last pass from Zehra was perfect, she read Vargas well, it was all or nothing. I won’t ever doubt VakifBank again.

Vakifbank played like a team, everyone was scoring, defending and blocking (16 vs.1). With a decent reception, anything is possible. Guidetti and his staff studied the opponent very well. Cansu's ball distribution was good today, she was under so much pressure.

I never had chills like this watching a 4/0 game…The way the two finalist bounced backed from their losses was amazing and proves that no one is beatable. After congeliano wasn’t able to bounce back I thought this team was unstoppable (and so did everyone else). The entire team and I mean the ENTIRE team stepped up and fought every set with ferocity. They probed that its not how you start, its how you finish. Paula just finds her way ti these finals one way or another. Congratulations vakifbank. Btw that final block from bogu deserves a million bucks!

Great performance overall for Vakifbank! Their blocks read Macris so well and shut down her spikers, the outside hitters (especially Bajema) stepped up big time, great defense from Ayça, Egonu limiting her errors, and just phenomenal setting from Çansu! Still well played from Fenerbahçe! They got so far with this current roster and honestly, this is a match worthy of a Super Final.

FB has been reliant on their pin hitters (ana, arina and vargas) who carried the team to semis. VB has amazing middles with those blocks while FB has non existent middles

I am a Fenerbahçe fan since childhood and I am sad but hats off to Vakıfbank. First of all Cansu and Bajema played the game of their lifetime. Cansu shocked me and conducted all and defended so good. Egonu finally showed us who is Egonu in reality. And without captain Gabi firing all team at the mid of first set maybe things would be different. Eda is our great captain but when your time is up even if you gather and speak to your teammates they wont believe you if you dont contribute the game. Gabi was a great captain today in that sense. Fener could not use serving advantage, it wasnt Ana Cristina's day (she is so young and that s fine) but I am also not happy with Macris at all.. We realized today Fener is still good in many senses but weakest spot compared to Vakıf was attacks on mid section. Vuchkova was very weak compared to Zehra and Ogbogu, Obgobu blocked madly and Zehra "dared to" use her talents in most critical moments. Vuchkova's substitute Aslı would surely block more if she was in game more but still would stay weaker compared to Vakıf girls. Turkish liberos Aylin and Ayça were both great. With Simge of Eczacıbaşı, I am happy that we have a lot to choose in national team. Well, Fenerbahçe is destroying our hearts in each branch of sports this year, nothing to do about it :)) I think it is good that Terzic leaves by the end of season, team will refresh and we'll see what's next..
