CEX Pickups (Scarborough June 24)

It (was) June and it was time for my yearly trip to Scarborough and the wonderful "Aladdin's Cave" for gaming gems. I picked up some belters as usual and among them was a Gameboy gem and an Xbox game i've wanted for a while. #cex #thrifting #retrogaming

Yo man. Your channel popped up while i was scrolling YT. Love the vid and glad you liked my hometown Scarborough 😊. You're right, its a great place to live. Sometimes you can find some real gems in the Market Vaults too. Will keep watching, like your chilled delivery. Subbed m8.

Looks like you picked the right weekend for it mate, weather looked fantastic. Arctic Thunder looks like good fun. Must just be me left in the world to pick up Phantom Crash then 😂 Am sure I have seen Advent Rising somewhere recently....or I could just be making that up. I do keep my eyes open for Xbox games when I can. Some nice finds there mate 😊👍🐻

It was glorious in Scarborough mate, me and the kids always go around my birthday. Hahaha not played Phantom Crash yet so hang fire because it might be crap 😂 If you see Advent Rising for cheap then definitely pick it up, it’s got an interesting history. Thanks for watching Bear

Glad you had a great time in Scarborough mate, shame you didn't score so well in the shops. Wanted alien homnid for ages, but when i finally got it I was really disappointed. Had advent rising for years... never played it 😂. Great pick ups.

Ah mate it’s just my luck in charity shops but then most are just run as businesses now so it’s hard to find anything. Awww man don’t say that, I love the art style of alien Hominid. I’m thinking of doing a review of it

Game in Stockton.. literally just around the corner from me in the North East lol Alien Hominid is a great cartoon run and gun game 😎👍 used to be one of my favs on the original XBox..

Scarborough looked nice Alex, I'm hoping you sped up the cliff railway footage as the cats looked rapid🤣 I think Arctic Thunder is ok to be honest, not as good as Hydro but not terrible Alien Hominid looked really good, never seen that running before, have seen the box about but never picked it up to look at it👍

Scarborough is beautiful mate, go every year and we love it. Haha I had to slow the footage down 😳🤣 I’m sure Arctic Thunder can’t be as bad as the reviews make out, but I haven’t played it yet. Alien Hominid looks great, I really like the art style. I may have to do a review on it. Hope you’re well mate

Cex seems like a highlight, with 2 new Ys games coming out within the next year it's a good pickup @£15 Ys celceta is a remake of the 4th game in the series.. it was released on PS4 but quite limited in EU.. really good limited edition through Xseed in the US :)

CEX is our only retro store in the UK really except a few indie stores but yeah they are usually decent. Thanks for the save on Ys, I did read that it was after 2nd game on the Turbo Graphix but I wasn’t 100% sure. I’ll keep an eye out for the PS4 version 👍 Thanks for watching 🙂

@@GriffosRetroGaming if you wish to get more into Ys. 1/2 on psp/ds.. us only Ys iii.. released on all modern in 2025 Ys iv.. celceta Ys v.. unreleased outside Japan.. unpopular Ys vi.. psp/PS2 Everything else PS4/switch.. Ys X announced later this year with awesome CE

I need to get into the ys series for sure! Good pickup on that and the ff legends game. Never played that either. Yeah I'm missing ibiza as well lol! It's has a affect on me it seems 😅😂

Yeah the Ys games are decent….the ones I’ve played anyway. The FF Legends games are really good for the Gameboy, highly recommended. Hahaha I bet you was a state after that trip to Ibiza 😂
