nice video bud. wish i had seen this before i bought a cy50. it turned on to let me program it and get it all set. i put it in the woods up at camp and left it for three mths. went to check it and nothing. at first i thought someone had found it and turned it off, but it was still in the on position when i got back to it. i took it down, tried to solve the problem to no success. i brought it home, contacted ceyomur and they asked me to plug it in computer, well that worked, and then it would turn off. there customer service is terrible kept giving me the runaround. they finally sent me another one, and same results. the big kicker in all of this was i was never refunded for the returns i sent them. they asked me to send both cameras back which i did, but at my cost. i'm still waiting for a refund for returning them. i guess you get what you pay for. thanks for sharing this with us

Dan, I am so sorry that you had those issues. I know when we did the first review video a year ago, we were impressed with them, all the features, especially with the CY65. The first tests seemed fine, of course the very first CY65 they sent didn't even power on straight out of the box. When I contacted them, they sent another for me to test. That one worked, and of course the CY50 worked. Jerod and I both knew that it was going to be at least a year before we knew for sure if the cameras would hold up. Both Jerod and I hate the app they have for the CY65, as Jerod mentioned it needs a complete overhaul and redesign. I am so sorry that you went on our first video to get your camera. I guess when we do a review, we need to put a disclaimer at the very beginning of the video, that this is an initial review, we aren't making any recommendations and that anyone interested needs to wait till we do our year end review. Now the two that I actually spent my money and ordered, so far they have been doing okay, but they have only been out for maybe 4 to 6 months. So we will see what happens. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie - J & J TOA

Been waiting on this one fellas! I’ve been using a Muddy camera that I order from Academy for $33. They take good pictures but not the quality you would use on KZfaq. They take good but not great videos but eats the heck out of batteries so I use them on picture . I run about 8 of them on public land and they help to see what’s there and scout, but that’s about it. I have looked at these Ceyomore cameras on Amazon and thought about getting one of the ones with solar panels. I might rethink that now. I appreciate seeing an honest video where folks aren’t just trying to sell stuff! Do you guys use any cameras that you recommend that aren’t expensive but do a decent job? And most importantly don’t cost a lot, because I leave them on public and don’t want to lose a lot of money if they get stolen. Thanks for sharing fellas!

Mike, we have used many cameras over the years. We have used Moultrie, Primos, Bushnell, Stealth, Tasco, Apeman, Wildgame Innovations, and now these Ceyomur. We caught the Wildgame Innovations Terra 10's on sale about 4 or 5 years ago for like $25. Between me and Jerod, I think we bought 3 to 5 of those cameras and installed them on public land in the national forest. I know there are some sportsman that won't use Wildgame Innovations due to game violation issue that the owner of the company was involved in. I don't throw stones, everyone makes a mistake once in their lifetime. I really like those cameras. I have one of them out down on the farm, and the other two that I have I have set out this year. Running a lot of cameras now days with the price of batteries is getting cost prohibited. But, again we like the Wildgame Innovations, also the Apeman H55 brand that is somewhat like the Ceyomur CY65 except it isn't bluetooth, but does have the lower door that opens and has a screen so you can see where your aiming the camera. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie - J & J TOA

You're welcome, Dan. Glad you waited. I know a couple who did purchase these after our first video and they had problems. I know a few who have purchased these cameras and haven't had any issues. Really doesn't make much sense, but when we get something sent to us or if we buy it ourselves we will do a initial review, but then we will do a more thorough review once we have used the product for like a year. Thanks, Blue Boy. As it says in the start of the video "We Keep It Real", we are going to tell you our honest thoughts. That is exactly what we told the company when they asked if we would do a review, I told them, that we would but they had to understand, if we didn't think it was good, we would say it. Of course, I hated that we had to wait a year to do this review, but that is the only way to get a thorough test. I apologize to anyone who went out a year ago and bought one after seeing our initial review and they had issues. In our first video, these cameras seemed impressive. I do like the sliding battery compartment. Didn't have to take the camera off the tree to change batteries. Really makes that nice, wish other manufactures would do that. Thanks, Jay! We try and be honest, as it says in the beginning part of the video, "We Keep It Real". Not out today, rain moved in about 5AM this morning, I was up at 4:30AM watching the weather and checking with Jerod. By 5:30, we decided not to bother. Then at about 8 or 8:30, the rain stopped, still cloudy, and the temperatures have been dropping. It was 58 at 4:30 this morning, now here at almost 12 in is in the mid to low 40's and going down into the upper 30's tonight. Tomorrow looks promising, and I know it is Sunday, but a hunter has to do what a hunter has to do. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie - J & J TOA

Well, they seem to be nice cameras. I guess it would be the luck of the draw. Some have gotten them and had no issues and some have gotten them and had issues right out of the box. Your choice on whether to buy one or not, I think there are other brands that are just as good and within the same price range that are more reliable. Thanks for watching and commenting. Haven't tried those, Steven. We have tried a lot of different cameras, and of course we tend to stay on the lower end and that is because some of these cameras our ridiculously priced. We have used Moultrie, Primos, Stealth, Tasco, Wildgame Innovations, Apeman and Bushnell. I guess we should look into Tactacam. I do have one of their action cameras on my 870 Express that I am using for turkey season. Thanks for watching and commenting. Judide - J & J TOA

You're welcome, Chad. I know a few people who went out and purchased one right after our first initial review of the cameras. One fellow KZfaqr, Dan, from Whitetail Warriors Deer Camp channel, went out and bought one, and he had the issue with his we had with the first camera I received, the CY65. It didn't work right out of the box, but he got another one from them. I think that one as well had issue right out of the box. We always do an initial review, giving our initial impressions, then we will do a year in review of the item. I like Stealth Cam's. I have a couple of those myself as well as several other brands. You're welcome, Jr. The CY50 that I bought and the one the company sent to replace the one that quit while we were testing, both seem to be doing fine. My CY65 that I bought seems to be doing fine as well. Now it has only been out maybe 4 or 5 months, so time will tell with it. Of course, the CY65 is mounted to a tree with the strap instead of the mounting hardware. I honestly believe that these could be good cameras for someone not wanting to spend a lot of money, but there are risks. I guess you have that with anything you buy though. Thanks, Steve. I have been wanting to get this video out so our honest review after a year of using them could get out there. We have had good luck and bad luck with cameras. We use Wildgame Innovations cameras, and we have been using the same cameras for about 4 years now. Only issues we have had so far with them is the bears not leaving them alone. We have had Moultrie, Primos, Wildgame Innovations, Bushnell, Stealth, Apeman, and Tasco, might be some others. When we were asked if we would do a review, we told them we would and explained there would be an initial review with our thoughts, and then after a year another review with our final thoughts. Steve, sometimes I am like you, go back old school before trail cameras, but I just can't seem to bring myself to do it. LOL Got rained out this morning, and as I am typing this I have noticed the rain has stopped and doesn't look like there is any more rain coming. But I may head out tomorrow. @@stevehuffman2610 I know what you mean Steve. I could have gone ahead and gone this morning, but I know Jerod is at home sleeping. He got off work at 3:30 this morning, and if it hadn't rained we both would be in the woods now.

I’ve got a cy50 only issue with mine is sometimes the audio quality isn’t good. Great battery life. I pulled it about a month ago I’ll be putting it back out after turkey season. If I goes down I’ll probably not get another one

Brian, the two that I actually purchased, the CY65 and the CY50, I have had no issues with them so far. I bought them maybe a month or two after getting these cameras to test from the company. Now the CY50 test model had issues with the recorded audio. I don't believe I have had any audio issues with the one I purchased. Now the CY65 didn't seem to have any issues with audio, but like I noticed while doing this video, the mic for the CY65 is on the outside of the camera, and the CY50 is behind the door covering the view screen. I don't think, in the future, if I need another camera, that I would buy this camera. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie - J & J TOA

I must’ve got good ones, I’m running 4-CY50s and 2-CY95s and not a hiccup one. Picky about sd cards but I can’t say anything bad in the 8 months I’ve been using them.

Matt, I figure there are good ones out there. The CY65 and CY50 I actually bought for myself is doing great so far. I have had them out for about 4 to 6 months. I know Dan with Whitetail Warriors Deer Camp had issue with his first one, then got another and the same issue. That is why I said buyer beware, you might get a good one, but you also may get a dud. I hope you and I have success with the ones we have now. I have spending a lot of money on trail cameras due to theft, destruction (both human and animal), that is why I like the less expensive cameras. I really don't care about HD quality, I just want to get pictures of what is in my area. Don't get me wrong, I want to see the animal or animals that are on the image and be able to see if that is a doe or a button buck, but again I don't need HD quality. I am not taking the pictures to publish in a magazine. Thanks for watching and commenting, Matt. Juddie - J & J TOA
