My boyfriend had cf and we where in the hospital all the time. I was there from 7am to like 10pm. I hope you keep smiling and be positive. Unfortunately my boyfriend pass after having lung surgery. But I think you can go far and I believe in you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 48 and just recently diagnosed with CF...shocking I know. Honestly I had all the symptoms & signs my entire life it just always got missed😳 Looking for information and knowledge about this disease I ran across your blog. You are funny and have a great spirit about you. Yes I too believe the mind has everything to do with survival. CF care or the lack of it in my case still adds up to constant medicines, breathing tests and hospital visits...attitude plays a huge role😊 Wanted to comment so you could see you have an impact on the old(me) and the young of CF patients. I'm surprised how many doctors are anti port, I get the infection risk is scary but having a port changed everything in a really positive way for me.

I’m sure you will get back to 71% again!! I have a port and u can see the tube but i don’t notice it, Ports make life so much easier!! I think you should get one especially if your veins are messed up from all the needles. I’m sorry about your breakup you just gotta keep going and focus on yourself because mental health sucks and if you aren’t mentally stable it’s a lot harder to fight with cf and motivation. I don’t have CF, but another lung condition-and I think with many lung conditions, those PFT’s are like pushing a rock up a hill-

I have EDS related lung issues and those PVTs I swear if you couldn’t breathe before you really can’t after those things. I nearly fell over lol

The thing about ports is that if the internal jugular vein is accessed then u can see the tube running over the clavicle...but if the subclavian is accessed then u cant see anything...i am so grateful that my ir doctor had put in a subclavian line in me

Just subscribed and went back to through your older videos! Definitely go for the van living! My husband and myself live in a converted school bus and travel the USA. My husband has epilepsy and we have found that the less stressful life of living with less stuff and worries helps with that. I don’t know enough about CF to know if stress affects you negatively or not but I would assume it would have some affect. So true everything affects your mind! I’m a healthy person but I have dyslexia, and it was a lot worse as a child. And being a person who just beats herself up a lot and compares herself to everyone, I would say it affected me. I grew up thinking I was stupid because my siblings were all in honors classes and picked up on things really easy and I just couldnt. It got a lot better during middle school but now I’m a freshman in highschool and taking a language and I’m noticing it’s coming out more. And when I’m not in a good mindset, it definitely gets worse. Everything affects your mind!!!

I feel you and not liking to see the line. When I got my port it’s was/ is so noticeable. It did bother me but I’m started to get over it... I’m just thankful for no more neck IVs

Man when you did that spirometry test it gave me anxiety... I have a pectus excavtum and have to do them all the time. Whenever I do them tho the nurse screams “BLOW” at me

less than a minute in and im like "wow same" using a neb at random times i assume that you use nebulisers with CF bc that looks JUST like my nebuliser (dont have CF, i have asthma that used to be really bad, had to use a neb every 4-6 hours just to get enough air lol) OH MY GOD THE BLOWY THING where you wear the nose clips and blow as hard and as long as you can and you literally feel like death and need to take an inhaler after but hey you got that little rocket ship all the way to the moon so its okay. idk if adults have the rocket ship but 6 year old me was always like "this is the best part of seeing the pulmonary dude" and i always took the nose clips home with me?? idk but i had a collection of them edit: alright so it IS a neb bc you said you had to take albuterol. do you get really shaky afterwards? bc uh driving during and after the nebuliser is an extreme sport, i usually need to lie down for a bit after it bc i get so shaky and dizzy
