How many Americans can play in the CFL at one time? Maybe 200. I think it’s 20 Americans per team. I think they have three players that are international. The rest of Canadians. There are NFL players that have come to the CFL and did not dominate like everybody thought they would. Like when Ricky Williams was suspended from the NFL due to weed for a year. Then he came to Canada and played in the CFL. People thought he was gonna run for I don’t know 3000 yards. Or whatever. Like you can do that in three down football. These are still professional football players.

I know that Dwayne The Rock Johnson try to get in the CFL and couldn’t make it.

In the pre game warm up he was practicing from the Stamps 40 and was getting the first bounce in the end zone.

@@szahmad2416 it worked. CFL had an expansion for one reason and one reason only - to survive. They needed money and new expansion teams provided them the money they needed. Even if Ottawa folded (that was mostly the problem with the owner of Rough Riders, not the league), CFL survived the very problematic period due to expansion.

@roymcgaw7431 I love the CFL with or without the betting. As an American I have followed the great Canadian game since a child so even I'd betting did not exist I would still LOVE CANADIAN PEOPLE AND FOOTBALL. I have been to 6 Grey Cup games and loved every single second of it.

I understand that advertising and promotional support comes from betting organizations, but we don’t need it to make our game good. Force these outfits to show you a few of the down and out sorts that have lost their savings because they missed the over-under on a game. @leoncardinal2035 I am a fan of he league itself but I love the lions as well as the players as a whole. The rules of the Canadian game make the game more interesting to watch in person or on TV rather than American Football where in the 4th quarter all you see is teams running out the clock and taking a knee how fun lol. I am an American who proudly supports all things Canadian it's a great country with great people.

CFL needs more eyes on their game. They do have CFL+ for international fans (aka Global fans, those who are not from US or Canada), but it's the greatest service unfortunately.

Nah... Stop blaming refs on something that they did right. It was truly an accidental pass interference. What should referees do? Just ignore that? Nah, it would be a HUGE mistake.

I have watched this league for many decades now and I have never seen and do not believe for one second that our refs who make much less money than those in the NFL are any less professional. But of course they are easy targets.

They had time to punt and hope that defense will do it's job.

@@TimDyck and that's happened. Not the greatest idea... but risking losing possession on the 3rd down on your side of the field wasn't the best idea neither.

That can happen anywhere, not just CFL. And it didn't matter, Blue Bombers still got the first down on the next play.

@teo_heel true, but I think the league needs to seriously look at how it handles refs blowing calls like that. That could end a drive potentially in a big game. Making them lose yards and the down was a ridiculous outcome. Minimal it should have been replay the down.

I do not have a problem with our refs.They are human just like in the NFL and I think they do a fine job.But I'm not looking to criticize the league like so many do who like to comment.I don't expect perfection from imperfect humans.But we all aren't perfect like you.

@robinshoulders444 problem is they're trained to be looking at certain aspects of the field. He's not following that training and negatively impacting the game. He's the back judge, he should never be making calls for plays close to the LOS. And yes, I'm a ref. He should do his job properly or not at all

Ouellette has proven that he can be easily stopped. If he gets an open field he is a beast, but close to the line he is vulnerable. Also, Saskatchewan sucks.

Regardless, Ouellette has proven over his short career that he is usually stopped with a short gain or some sort of loss when hit at the line of scrimmage. BTW … nobody has ever won the Grey Cup in July.

Nah, Matt Dunnigan is very good. VERY GOOD. He knows quite a lot about Canadian Football and yeah, sometimes he's a bit weird in his calls, but that's making the watching experience WAY BETTER.

I became a Dunnigan fan because his play on the field and I will always be a Dunnigan fan.

One man's garbage can be another man's entertainment. I'm not looking for perfection I like to see hard fought close game.
