That crowd roar/pop for Tevin Jones was absolutely unreal. Only thing I can compare it to is the Bautista HR against the Rangers in the 15’ playoffs.

Doesn't compare to the NFL . . . . CFL is much more exciting!

As an American I agree completely. The rules and the dimensions of the field are better suited for this game. 🇨🇦 🏈

Definitely wouldn’t mind seeing the best NFL team take on the best CFL team, or do like a Pro Bowl type deal where each league compiles the best players of the season into a team and have them play each other.

to do that they need to have the same fields... and that's problematic. CFL US Expansion showed how problematic it was exactly... Memphis Mad Dogs (that team played only for ONE season in 1995) played at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (now known as Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium) and that was such a small stadium that the Canadian Football field on this stadium was a complete hazardous disaster with end zones being even smaller than a regular american football end zones. The only two stadiums that were perfect for CFL were located in Baltimore (Baltimore Memorial Stadium that was demolished in 2002) and in San Antonio (Alamodome, the home of San Antonio Brahmas in XFL/UFL). Stadium in Sacramento (Hornet Stadium) was also fine, it was kinda similar to what Montreal has as a home stadium right now (Percival Molson Memorial Stadium) - both have running tracks, end zone are clipped because of that, but that's acceptable (Edmonton used to have running tracks on Commonwealth Stadium until 2014 season). All other stadiums that were used during US Expansion were a bit short for a full-size CFL field and because of that they had 15 yard deep end zone instead of 20 yard deep end zones but that also seemed fine because Toronto nowadays play on BMO Field that is just a bit short for a full-size CFL Field and it has 18 yard deep end zones. I guess that explanation will do just fine... Field is the most important part of Canadian Football.

@@teo_heel how would a usfl and cfl merger look like , They have amount of teams and their seasons start around the same time.

@@user-wy9pn4kz9f I'm pretty sure it won't happen. Canadians don't want to lose CFL, they even have unwritten laws to save it no matter what. And Canadian Football is different in rules, not just size of the field. It's not a big difference, but it will take some time to adapt. And also... there's a rule in CFL that all teams must have at least 21 national players (those who are born in Canada or have Canadian citizenship) in their roster and at least 1 global player (who is not from Canada or USA and doesn't have citizenship in neither country) in their final roster of 45 players. It won't work in US, so teams will be full of Americans... and it will be US Expansion 2.0. Some teams in the failed CFL expansion used former NFL and NCAA talent as players and were coached by former NFL, USFL or NCAA coaches and they were abysmal. Like Shreveport Pirates that lost first 14 games in 1994 season (that is still a CFL anti-record for the worst start of the season), they managed to win three out of last four games to save the season from being the worst in the history. So yeah... And also CFL play their game on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, in US on these days college and school teams play (that's why most US CFL teams had awful attendance records towards the end of the season). PS. That US Expansion that I've talked about quite a lot happened because CFL needed money and they needed money ASAP. They already lost Montreal Alouettes that folded one day before the start of 1987 season (team had played 2 pre-season games and was ready to play in the regular season but there was no money to support the team) and other teams weren't doing well, maybe only Toronto Argonauts were doing okay (it was Argos' owners idea to expand, btw, famous canadian actor John Candy was one the masterminds behind that idea, he owned Argos with Wayne Gretzky and Bruce McNall (who owned Los Angeles Kings as well) in early 90s). League got money and Baltimore Stallions were awesome (they played in the Grey Cup in both season that they participated in the league, lost in 1994 to BC Lions, won in 1995 against Calgary Stampeders), but it was a huge flop... and all teams folded except for Stallions as they were reigning Grey Cup champions and they were "forced" (they wanted to keep playing in the league, but they couldn't find the place in the US especially knowing that all other teams folded and the league was not interested in expansion anymore, so they had no choice really) to relocate to Montreal to revive Alouettes... and still Ottawa Rough Riders folded after 1996 season as the ship was already sinking and there was no way to save it. Ottawa's first revival team (Renegades) didn't survive for long... because of the fact that it was owned in the end by the same person who was instrumental in the death of the original team (Bernie Glieberman, he wanted to move the original team to the US and he owned aforementioned Shreveport Pirates as the "american Rough Riders" after CFL denied his idea of moving Rough Riders to the US). Second revival (RedBlacks) is doing fine financially, they even won Grey Cup in 2016 in their third season after inception in 2014, they're not been in playoffs since 2018 when they for the third time in four years played in Grey Cup... so yeah... And I don't think that US wants to have CFL. CFL doesn't have a big TV deal in US.
