The most dangerous part of the extraction process? their DINOSAUR relic ejection seat technology from the 1950's, offering EXTREMELY LIMITED envelope for a safe ejection. RIP Capt. Jen Casey Canada needs to get off their ass and spring for a different aircraft platform, potentially CF-18's. Hell, it's worked for the Blue Angels for ONLY 30+ years. Get the Snowbirds what they deserve: A SAFER AIRPLANE with a much greater survival ability built in, thank you Martin-Baker ACES seats.

CF-18 for the Snowbirds is a terrible idea, because you shrink the pool of techs and pilots who can fly for the team, which in turn leaves our fighter force depleted. Logistics would be a nightmare and the cost of running the team triples. That, and Moose Jaw doesn't have the equipment or infrastructure to support the CF-18. Finally, our Hornets are quickly running low on fatigue life. The team would be lucky to get two seasons out of the Hornet.
