Does the battle really go to the next player when the player defending dies? I thought it would just go to the graveyard

Nope. The rule is 310.10, but as soon as it's no longer being attacked if its protector is gone as a state-based action you name someone else the battle's protector. Only if there is no valid protector will it go to the grave, but at the moment for there to not be a valid protector you have to be out of opponents.

I just built a Will Flicker deck with Lucas as the partner to give access to all the cards in red that deal damage to each opponent whenever an artifact enters the battlefield. It's been so fun, I'm excited to see CGB's take.

One thing that might be nice on these type of episodes is a card count for hands. Saw Shay draw a bunch but had no clue her hand size.

Technically Craterhoof did cause Shae to lose the game however as it did not **directly** attack her Shae is correct in that she has yet to be killed by Craterhoof.

This was such a good game! Shea didn't technically die to Craterhoof, she died to the Taurean Mauler, that was just buffed by Craterhoof. Craterhoof remains loyal to its master.

I enjoy this content. I wonder, would you all consider designing your own set of "precon" lists, four (or five) decks designed and balanced to play against each other in a closed environment? Sort of like a cube, but not draft, I guess? I like MTG's precon lists, but they always feel really clunky and not all that balanced against each other. I guess the easiest thing would be to take one of these sets and upgrade all the decks evenly.

Creatorhoof killed CGB not Shay. If Creatorhoof had a “deals damage trigger” it wouldn’t have triggered. Therefore by the rules of the game…

I really like your gameplay, but just my 2 cents. Maybe it's just me and please comment if you like it, but I think not every channel needs to copy game knights and make weird faces emulating the commander they'll play. Quintessential commander do it as well, and for me it's just... Meh. I just don't get it. But to each their own 😘🌹
