Decades after a mysterious incurable zombie virus spreads throughout the world mankind is in danger of going extinct.
Among the infected there is an old zombie and a dog that remains loyal to his master and hopes he will become human again one day.
“Dead Friends” is my graduation film created for Sheridan College Animation in Oakville, Canada. Within the course of a year it has been screened at over 30 film festivals all over the world and now I have decided to share my film with you. I hope you enjoy. Special thanks to everyone who helped create this film.

The thing is....if zombies were real, i think an alive loyal dog would actually try to accompany their zombified owner. and i'm not sure if that thought is sad or wholesome.

I love the attitude of the dog. After gramps scratches him and you wake up through the dogs eyes, gramps looks at him like, you ready to do this shit with a strong enthusiastic demeanor. Its bright and sunny, out. Like its the norm for this world. The dog looks up like he's glad just to finally be the same as his old friend.

well dogs is one of the most innocent animals in the world... they only know how to follow and love their master, unlike us humans who only know is to kill each other over populate the word which brings more trees to be cut down to expand our cities, our factories make pollution slowly destroying mother nature.. in fact our world is already on the process of destruction because of us.. while the animals just doing their business to make balance on the ecosystem to prevent this world to end... so yeah im crying that poor dog died...

This reminds me of those scary dreams I have where I know I will get murdered by a zombie but the longer I hide, the longer I live in fear so I just have to go find the zombie and let him eat me. The pain only lasts for a few seconds and then I don't have to worry.
