Ah... he made the temple levitate rather than himself. That's why the master was annoyed at the end.

Lustig, nett, bewundernswert. Die Mimik des Mönchs ist reich, lebendig, aussagekräftig. Alle unsere Schwächen sind da in 5 Minuten abgespiegelt. Exzellentes Werk. Hoffentlich findet der Mönch sein Glück auch außerhalb des Klosters.

Yup. Everyone thinks enlightenment seems like such fun, until they get a taste, & then most sane people run for the hills! This funny bit of animation illustrates something many Buddhist teachers have been trying to get us to understand for centuries. When our little friend fell, I couldn't help borrowing from another religion's mythology with the thought: "There he goes, and now it's turtles all the way down".

When I was kid I used to think and do the same things this boy does. Bcoz I watched kung-fu series and read kung-fu comics all the time 😆 I used to go upstairs by myself and used chairs and bed to practise flying with imaginary outfits and my mum's make up .oh my 😆 that was fun

I thought it had a deep meaning like "the apprentice wasn't ready to the true wisdom gained only by years of meditation, so he fell when he tried to leave the temple (where everything was safe)." Then I come to the coment section only to discover he simply made the temple levitate because why not!

When I saw that one of his forehead markings had a line through it, and he only had two, I realized he'd been DEMOTED! No wonder he wasn't allowed into the inner temple and had only been allowed to act as the "janitor monk". LOL
