I'm really glad they didn't go in the "all change is bad" direction with this. A lot of modern media makes it seem like changing yourself to make yourself feel better is such a bad thing, but changing your life is completely normal and fine, so long as it makes you happy. In the end, this girl found a balance between being herself and exploring new worlds, and that's the message we should be sending!

Ok, I got a story for you all: When I got glasses, I thought I would look bad, but then I got them and looked better then ever. So I would not only say the moral is "Be yourself", but also "Try yourself out"! Because trying out may be a good way to find yourself, or maybe even find back to yourself. Also, I'm a girl that never used makeup (I know many girls don't use it, I'm nothing special when it comes to that. I don't want to sound "quirky") but I may try it. In my opinion, even if I think, that might not be me, I could give it a try. And maybe I would keep some bits that worked for me.

What she really won by her new look...and what she loosed...she's a lucky girl that she accepted the transformation without consulting anyone else than herself. That was her own choice...and this is how one treat his own choices with respect. The most important is much how you keep your spirit cute even if you had a new choice and new look...your heart should keep smiling...that's the question and the answer.

A lot of people are saying that the moral is "be yourself", but I disagree. I mean, yes, "Be yourself", yes, but sometimes, you can only find the things you truly like by trying something new. This girl was stuck in a rut. She had what she thought was her style. But then she copied the look of a pop star, and that didn't quite fit either. In the end, she realized that her true self was a mixture of the way she used to dress and the pop star look.

I kinda grew up in a bubble, but I've never heard anybody complain about the look of glasses or braces. In fact, i love the look of braces. I wore glasses on an off till I was about 14, then pretty much 24/7 since. I don't need them need them. I can see well enough to do any daily task without them, but it's still a bit blurry, so I wear them. I think I look way better with them on and a my friends say the same

She realized that the "Material Girl" look wasn't quite right for her, but her "old look" wasn't quite right either. What worked best was a mixture of her old look and the Material Girl look. In other words, she had to find her own style by trying to copy another style, then backing away from it and keeping just the bits that work for her.
