Anyone that plays the bass or guitar could pick up that level of shamisen playing pretty easy. I play the guitar myself. I guarantee I could learn to play what he played here on shamisen in a days time. But it was still cool of him to have bought one and to have taken the time to learn this song.

@@nst.pierre9800 I doubt it, trust me the shamisen feels REALLY OFF. It has no sheet music, and no frets, meaning not only do you have to learn songs by ear all the time, but you need some surgical precision to play a piece correctly

That instrument is soooo weird. There's 4 strings and you didn't even use a plectrum. It must be one of those exotic ocidental instruments, so different from the shamisen. I also thought that was your natural hair, and I was really surprised it was a wig. The western civilization is really fascinating, full of surprises. The video started normal and suddenly "boom!" You blew my mind. 👏👏👏👏👏

Davie actually change my mind on bass as an instrument, from the majority of bass players using it to keep the tempo and only playing a note or two per bar to being under the spotlight and everything else only supported and accompanying it 🔥 🔥

i don't understand enough about music to judge how accurate at playing he is but the one thing i can say is : This guy is the most entertaining BASSIST i ever heard.

@@arzog6446 they understood what you were talking about. You mentioned not knowing how accurate he was at playing, so recommended you the fretless bass solo (which doesn't have frets of course, and requires a lot of talent and accuracy.)
