Thank you for sharing this most illuminating lecture. My take away messages are 1) national reforms must take into account one’s own social need, culture and value, 2) learn from historical lessons what have failed and succeeded, 3) the power of knowledge and recognition that knowledge is dynamic and subject to “metabolic transformation”, 4) education provides renewal “nourishments” and energy for timeless innovative. Eduction, to my mind, is the key to the success of modern China after 40 years of reform processes. Chinese are intrinsically self reliance, hard working and proud of their civilisation, to this end, a sense of obligation to rise and lead the world. Education and a sense of obligation set Chinese apart, past, present and into future...
