You gotta love how JAKQ had to get into these giant tanning booths to morph. That must have been really inconvenient when they came across something by accident. And Battle Fever had to put the costumes on themselves lol. NO henshin just suiting up like regular people. While Denjiman had rings for morphers but still had to snap their helmets shut, which is still pretty badass when you think about it. Its kinda funny how cheap the early Sentai costumes are, but you gotta appreciate how much work went into this show. And can tell that the technology got a little better with each henshin.

I think what you see in battle fever is their first transformations idk. And yes they need to put their suits on lol but that anime is from 1979, so kinds of these animations are popular in 1980s.

I grew up with RPM (but it was the final season) then Samurai came, then I became obsessed. I have watched the other Power Rangers, but Samurai blew my mind. I started singing, dancing and doing the stuff they were doing. But you can never beat the Original.

I grew up with the Power Ranger versions of these shows and did not know what Super Sentai was until 2004, I first saw it in a Dino Thunder episode where the American Rangers are watching an episode of the original show on TV but I had no idea that it was a Japanese show. The characters said that Sentai was based on the Power Rangers but the truth is that it's the other way around lol

Thats cause power rangers had to rely on the super sentai footage for fight scenes. See, Toei is a much more advanced company than saban and possibly Disney too because Japan is awsome. (OK thats not 100% confirmed ) But the point i'm making is that The reason why super sentai is better than power rangers is because it had to use the sentai footage.

Gokaiger was a really great series. Gai/GokaiSilver was essentially a Super Sentai fan who would have a fangasm whenever he would meet one of the older Sentai. It was pretty much the dream of every Sentai/Ranger fan.

gold and silver. There weren't enough pirates for that team. also some groups didn't have enough "main" characters so they had to bring in a couple of extra. That group Kyuurangers with 12 rangers that is going to be interesting to see what saban does with that. So many rangers in the "main" cast.

well Super Sentai was not always a kids show, it was originally a family-oriented show and aired during prime-time...but then it was later moved into a kids timeslot and changed into a kids show.

Don't mix up super sentai and power rangers. Super sentai is japanesse rights of their idea how they reflect on their perspective. Power Rangers is an american version with their own perspective. Just enjoy both perspective ideas, pretend it's like You have your personal life and your professional life. Work is work, play time is play time. It's practically it's 4 o clock in the morning where i am and getting sleepy. I hope you guys get the picture.

well in some cases you can mix them because some of the Power Ranger story lines are exactly like the Sentai ones. So its ok to compare and contrast some of the seasons, but people bash on both for very stupid reasons.

SPD is so universally aclaimed to be better than the source material, that not only the american battlizer is used in the post-serie film, but they recalled each and every single actor to re-dub over the equivalent charathers of power ranger footage

i have always been Power Rangers fan. On last 3 months, i am proudly fan of Super Sentai. Some of Super Sentai seasons is much more better than Power rangers'. For example Gokaiger and Super Megaforce. Gokaiger is far better and is one of my favorite Super Sentai Season. I can't wait to watch couple of Super Sentai seasons soon.

It really did not take much to beat Super Megaforce(d). If you looked at forums, they person who played Basco wanted to join as, well, you know, Basco. It could have worked if not for nickelodeon and their cheapness.

Deaf Geek Lad Yo know it really sickens me when people say "DURRR Super Sentai is better than Power Rangers because it's Japan DURRR". Mainly because it's very unfair for Power Rangers. From the start, they created their own characters, stories, and legacy that will be remembered just like Sentai did. And if your arguing the stock footage thing, well the original Godzilla movie did that too so again unfair. Infact Power rangers made their own fight scenes in different occasions. Some seasons made their own morphers, Ranger Powers, and villains that made it unique.Hell some seasons even change the premise from the Sentai drastically. In Space, Lost Galaxy, SPD, Dino Thunder, and *especially* RPM. But, the thing that hurts it the most is that it's downright disrespectful. It's disrespectful to the production teams on the show, the actors that committed to the show, the fans that grew up with those shows and went to conventions, and the most shocking of all, Super Sentai itself. The one that started Power Rangers. I'm not trying to defend Power Rangers or anything. In fact, both franchises are great on their own right. But understand that these two should NOT be compared like that. Instead, you have to look at them separately, because that's the fucking point. And if you are a true Sentai fan, you would at *least* understand that.

FUN FACTS: NinjaBlack's actor is a legit Japanese-American hailing from LA. Red Racer's actor voices Ken Masters as of 3rd Strike. DekaMaster's voice actor is the same as Shuten from Gaoranger and Sajin from Bleach. AkaRed's voice actor is the same as Amuro Ray, Yamcha, Pegasus Seiya, Tuxedo Mask, Sabo, and even Mario (in the OVA and some commercials before Charles became THE Mario) KyoryuCyan's actor is Canadian-Japanese, that is he's Canadian by blood and citizenship but was born in Japan and lives there.

Never, and I mean never, tell me that the American Power Rangers are better than the Japanese Super Sentai. Japan is the one who creates the plots, characters, their designs, monster costumes and all the sequences of both the morphs and the zords. America just takes the overall concept and starts to mesh the idea with other sentai generations that they skipped over because they're so far behind or just changes the whole thing on it's head. The American actors make me cringe because while it is targeted for smaller kids the acting could definitely be improved. The most disappointing American Power Rangers generation, and there's a lot of them, that I can remember aside from the more recent ones is Super MegaForce. I have never wanted to punch my television screen as much as I did when I watched it. The Japanese version was a pirate theme and the plot of that one was memorable. Only thing I liked about Super MegaForce was that they had cameo appearances and the final battle filled with former Rangers.
