How can a song be so beautiful and sad at the same time ...

This needs WAY more views and likes. A simple, clean and absolutely beautiful rendition of Aerith’s Theme. The scale @2:58 with the trilled end is so subtly elegant. Uematsu weaved sadness, joy, hope, love, compassion and triumph into the same song - perfectly encapsulating Aerith’s character and story. It is truly magical, and I can’t ever listen to it without tearing up.

I've been looking for this specific version of the Aerith's theme in the OST of the game for a while, where Cloud falls from the roof of the church and I couldn't seem to find it, however, here it is. I'm glad that I could find it, because this one arrangement is completely insane, the voicings it has, the melodic ornaments... And especially, that one phrase at 2:32 which was the one that made me look for the arrangement. Absolutely astonishing, thank you very much for doing this.

I’ve heard a lot of renditions to Aerith’s Theme over the years, but this is by far my favorite. The transitions in the second verse add just the right amount of drama. It’s almost like the music is telling a story.

I vaguely remember Aerith's death when I played FF7 back in 1997. I was 11 years old at that time. I only learned about the remake in the last weeks. To be honest, I have no time to play nowadays being a young dad. However, I started rediscovering how much of a masterpiece FF7, both the OG and remake, is. Especially its music. Hearing Aerith's theme once again brought back that sadness and huge pain I vaguely remember whilst being in shock that she's actually dead and the feeling of deep anger and revenge, fighting Jenova, whilst her theme kept playing. I guess the pain was real. I guess the pain IS real. Too real to the point that it has been an earworm for more than a week now nonstop. This song is a masterpiece and it is beautifully covered in this particular version.
