Using manual therapy with my patients is working just fine, of course with combo with exercises. Good for pain reduction, helps with fear of movement, it's good biopsychosocial approach. Good initially and gradually focusing on exercises later. On average 90% improvement reported with in 6-8 sessions once a week with my patients.

Excellent, I'm so glad you have an episode with Chad Cook. He is one of my go to physios for education. Thanks!

This is great! I love using manual therapy and I’m a big proponent of it for my patients.

An eclectic approach to treatments is typically ideal, which most therapists practice. Demonization of manual treatment/intervention is asinine, within the context of eclecticism.

I had to check it wasn't the 1st of April. Isn't that a bit like going water skiing without water? 🤔

Exercises can be done on one's own with some caution at a gym. People go to clinics to get some one on one manual therapy and education.

Partly agree. Patients also want and need guidance regarding their exercise program. Think once their improving, they can be seen less frequently.

Probally that people are snowflakes these days and forgot that they come from ancestors who were extremely resilient and active , and thats their pure origin physiology . Bad behavior-cognition , being sedentary , bad quality sleep and nutrition patterns led to most of these chronic pains & diseases . People just like to be touched for some reason .I still hear allot of people call physio/kine "masseuses" .

@@Venom0007 I've had better results from a massage therapist than I have from a physio

@@pc-qt3li Hate to tell you this but your "result" lies in your head ,since massage is not evidance based practice and the only reason its still here is it gives people a pleasurable feeling wich they confuse with healing or improving .

@@Venom0007 Try some trigger point therapy, that seems to have been the only thing to bring me back to a functional state. Also you spelt evidence wrong.
