I called the Disney Store and of course they don't have another set to replace it with, or buttons to send me, but they did refund me 15% which ended up being over $100 dollars back - which is enough money to just look for new buttons...it's not the BEST solution, but at least they tried to help =D

The fact that your box was dented and the shoes where the same would drive me crazy. Your paying for the exclusivity and the fine detail and the shoes should be different. Those dolls are beautiful I would have spent that much if I had the money.

It is pretty upsetting that the doll had some defects on it, but also the shoes! 😖i mean come on! They could have easily changed the style of her shoes in a finger snap! They are beautiful collectors dolls, but the price on it is insane. I think disney was a bit lazy when they made these dolls.

Sadly they recycled shoes a lot this year... They recycled single Auroras shoes for her platinum set, Ariels d23 shoes, D23 Giselle, Esmeralda and Rapunzel. Maybe I even missed some...They probably had to recycle them since they are putting out so much this year. Its a shame they didnt recycle older shoes as this make it too obvious that they are recycles.

For the price point, those dolls should have been in 100% pristine condition! So glad that the Disney store was willing to work with you though to rectify their mistake. At least now, you know that your doll even though it's not perfect, is still valuable and still 1 of a kind. BTW, loving your blue hair!

I totally agree with you that they are charging double the price they should be. And it you live in the UK this set is only 350 pounds. I think that is somewhere around $400. I am waiting for my set to arrive. But if I were you , I would be more upset about the missing brass buttons on Eric’s uniform , than recycled shoe styles. Hope you find them in the box. Hi Chad my only complain about that doll is why they used cheap rhinestones and not used Swarovski crystal for her crown, earrings and in the dress. Come on for $750 they can do that.

Okay, Chad, I've gotten over the initial shock of your paying so much for the dolls, so I can now comment. (LOL) They are BEAUTIFUL! You are clearly a true collector, and knowing that you have a set of this worldwide limited edition dolls of just 710 is pretty special. Over priced, but exquisitely detailed and lifelike!

I do agree with what you say. I still would love to get this set one day though! Interestingly over here in the UK, they’ve dropped the price of the platinum sets from £500 to £350. They started that with the live action Aladdin and Jasmine set.

Love the dolls. But that pricetag... If I had over $700 to spend on dolls, I would probably spend them on LOL OMG and Frozen 2 dolls and ofc a LOL dollhouse. And if I still had money over, I would buy some normal Disneystore dolls that I dont have yet. But thats me. I just want to be able to touch and play around with my dolls. Putting them in poses, fix their hairs and change their clothes. I do collect in box dolls too, but they are only valuable for me. And some just looks better in their box. But they are all playline dolls. Don't think I have any collector's doll at all. Only playline dolls. And I can barely afford those. Most are pre-owned dolls or dolls from my childhood. For that price I would be annoyed over the shoes. Recycling any piece of the doll and marking it up so high meanwhile seems a little shady. It makes one wonder what else is recycled like dress patterns and such. Still beautiful dolls regardless 😍

Beautiful set but I agree that price is absurd. I never buy the wedding sets cause their prices are extremely expensive. For that much money I expect some real gemstones or gold decorated on the set. Also sorry about the quality of your set. Ridiculous that you pay that much and you have missing details and a dented box. Plus recycled shoes?! I guess they never expected people to remove them from the box. Poor quality control by Disney.
