Chain pulls have fascinated me since I first saw them a couple of years ago......just amazing results when pulling on paint loaded key chains! Thank you for reminding me....👍🔵🌟

Yea it wasn't done correctly, the chain is suppose to lay flat & get pulled around. This person just stopped pulling it flat & just started lifting it up, that changed the whole entire way this painting was suppose to turn out. I get why it was done because there wasn't enough room to lay it flat, I think before attempting something like this someone needs to be make sure they have enough space to pull something like this off.

I think this result is awesome, even though several said they liked it until the layers "became wonky." Some people are so analytical, have to have symmetry. Nature isn't symmetrical. I thought at first it looked like a spiral galaxy. Then the close up shows hints of "wobbly waves," like cosmic gases forming layers of rings. Like I might think I'd see going through a worm hole. One thing I might try is lighter amount of paints on inner spiral. As what happens with chain pulls, the paint puddles in the curve of the chain as you pull, slowly pushing paints to the center in this case..
@justincasey_grabbederpussy67562 жыл бұрын
Tell me that you don’t know how to use the word analytical without telling me that you don’t know how to use the word analytical. So you attempted, but failed miserably, to diss us for saying how we thought it would look better and then immediately said how you thought it would look better?!?! Also, nature is symmetrical af.
@miss_bhello79252 жыл бұрын
@@justincasey_grabbederpussy6756 Sounded to me she was giving more of a tip on how not to have a little puddle of paint in the middle of the painting (problem solving), rather than saying how she thought the art could have looked better. Her comment was very respectful and encouraging toward the artist.
@colleengunning36712 жыл бұрын
@@miss_bhello7925 Thank you. That was my intent. Helping the artist who was struggling with paint build up in the center was my intent also. Being helpful, rather than critical. We all learn with each pour, and we all strive to learn and improve. Nature and symmetry: Things in nature have many forces going against them during growth and development. Winds, earth shift, erosion, external environment (drought, floods, pests,) can change or morph most things in nature. Maybe if something is formed in a vaccuum, you might find perfect symmetry. Even our earth's crust is much thicker on one side. It is thought that a smaller planet collided with earth in the early part of our solar system's development, and merged with earth. It may be why it wobbles a little in its rotation on its axis...if we want to be technical. Even earth's rotation isn't symmetrical. So, most of nature isn't perfectly symmetrical. I prefer interest, instead of perfection.

Art is different to each person. Maybe one person does it their way, others do it their own way. However it's done, it's still art. Art is a form of expression and this person chose to express their art in their own form in their own way. No one should critique someone else's way of doing anything with art because art is subjective and personal. No one should ever tell someone how their art is supposed to be or look or how the technique is supposed to be done. Yeah, there are certain techniques for everything in this world, but whose to say that this is done wrong or blah blah blah about any of it? In my opinion, I think it's a cool concept and it turned out how it was supposed to, regardless of technicalities, etc.

@deborahmartorano92713 жыл бұрын
What does the torch do? I am very new at all of their!
@colleengunning36712 жыл бұрын
The torch does 2 things. 1) It pops air bubbles so the finished surface is smooth when it dries, and 2) By warming the paints slightly, it helps lighter (weight wise) paint colors underneath to come to the surface to make cells (dots of different colors.) Adding a few drops of silicone oil to paints can also bring up various cells. Enhances cell production in a painting. The heated paint (with warmed silicone) allows both of these cell production processes to happen. Oil is lighter than most paints allowing the color encapsulated in oil to float up. Paints (each color) have a "specific gravity" due to the amounts of pigments and ingredients needed to get that desired color. Reds and Whites tend to sink sometimes if deep hues of red, maybe blues, blacks. You don't think of White being full of pigments, but titanium whites, especially in house paints, need extra white pigments. Metallics and pearls tend to make cells easier.

Is it important to paint canvas black or a solid color first?
@sue49402 жыл бұрын
Yes. You need base coat for paint to slide around. It can be anything you want. I mean any color. You can use several colors if you want. As long as there is wet paint for chain to glide.
