FIrst of all, I am kinetically challenged - which can be a problem for anyone doing 3D media like weaving!. I have had people show me how to start a chain a number of times, but watching you, trying it myself a few times, and I finally got it to stick. Thank you for showing us this method! I don't have a mill but I followed a similar procedure with my setup, and had the best results so far in dressing the loom.

Thank you very much this exactly what I needed to see today. Perfect.

For some reason I do this but the yarns ahead twist because as I turn my wrist as I make that new loop it makes the warp ahead turn. By the time I get to the cross end it’s pretty twisted. The problem then is as I unchain when sleying it’s not all nice and straight! I have been trying to be conscious of somehow not letting the twist get forward of the chain. So came here to check out how you’ve done it. Next time I shall see. Y
