Not sure how long its been down. My neighbor across the rd had it in his back field, it was down before he bought the place. Granted he's only been in there about a year but it's been down a lot longer than that. As far as how I'm doing, Chemotherapy starts Jan 6th, for the moment I'm fine. Then 4 months of up and down being sick from the chemicals. Hope to come out the other side cancer free.

That looks really nice. Do you have to put a post in the bottom and set it in the ground to keep the wind from blowing it over?

Haven't so far. That chunk at the bottom is pretty heavy. Time will tell because winds here can get pretty bad sometimes.

I really like the accent the charring makes. What did you use to seal it? Boiled linseed? Tung? Thinned down urethane? I have a prominently located dead tree in my front yard which needs to come down soon. I've been wondering what art I could make of the trunk, leaving it in the ground. This may be my answer. Awesome as always Cy!
