The tour of Issan is a 48 night (7 trips) tour of the region of northeast Thailand. During the tour, I made a video of everything I could get to, including tourist areas, important info like immigration offices, and anything I thought was interesting, like the food markets. This is a very long series of around 400 videos.

I have one of those, the Thai multi-tool, but a little big to keep in my pocket.

One of my favorite spots to grab a bite. Funny that you mentioned the "Hamburger" guy. He actually doesn't have hamburgers of the sort that would be found at McDonalds. They are made of slices of ham on a hamburger bun. I bought an "eggburger" from him, thinking that it would be a hamburger patty with egg and cheese. It was only the egg and cheese on a hamburger bun. Apparently, he believes that anything that is served on a hamburger bun is called a hamburger. Nevertheless, it tasted good. There is only one place in town that sells hamburgers. It is the Farang bar/restaurant right across the street. The Thai wives leave their foreign husbands there to be babysat as the wives take the kids and stroll through the market. You will not find a lot of vendors there who speak English. Although, they are all very friendly. The "Army" guy has a couple of different outfits he does, not only Army.

A lot of work for the army guy to look like that, I saw a few similar ones on my tour, an amazing job some of them did, hope they make some good cash. The only good burger I have ever had in Thailand I cooked myself, and I searched for a long time.

Awesome, I know I would rather be in Chaiyaohum over Toronto. One morning I walked the streets of Toronto for about 2 hours, I said good morning to everyone I passed, only 1 person said replied, and he was a tourist from somewhere warm, he looked very cold. I know where I would rather be....

Great trip through the night market there Paul. That soldier shocked me too when he "squeaked"...555. Lots of good food there. So the kaow kha muu was delicious? Super!. Always enjoy the people too as foreigners are more of a novelty in these markets. Loved the little girl running up to you and then away ... laughed when you say she saw a monster. Happy to hear she was all smiles when she found out you were real. Again, our thanks for sharing...fun time!

I love the markets, and like you said in places where a white face is a strange thing it is even better, some of the more remote markets I have done videos in were very interesting, lots of people that have never seen a white person before, quite the experience, for me and them.

Great video again Mr Paul. We can’t have these type of markets here in the States cause of all the crime. As always 💚💛❤️💙🧡👍👍👍👍. See you in the morning, for another adventure
@lifeinthailand

I don't think crime is the biggest problem unless your talking about the government rules the vendors have to follow. Most western countries can't have markets to this level due to all the food-related rules. And people comment on my videos all the time about this food making everyone sick, if that was the case the markets would be empty, not full. People believe what the government tells them. Or that is how I see it...lol

Update on the burger guy. I believe the business is actually run by a woman. She told me that they will be moving to the new Robinson's location. Probably in the food court, unless they have some street food outside.

Interesting, might explain the Queen part of the name. Home the market keeps enough stalls to still be an interesting place, malls do a repetition of killing small businesses.

The knife did not last long, it got internal issues and can't open, now it's just for show, you get what you pay for.

Paul I would love to try all that exotic Thai food in the local markets , my only fear being the bacteria might not agree with my system and give me a hard time , shitting and throwing up , otherwise count me in , looks delicious .

The only food that makes me ill around here is in the commercial places. Never gotten sick on street food. The things that you are eating were on the farm yesterday. Can't get any fresher

@@Lung_Jim...Farang_Bannok Same here, Jim. Never got sick from street food, and I eat much more food from the street vendors and the smaller local "restaurants" than any other places. The only time I have been sick from food in South East Asia was from a large upscale restaurant in Cambodia.
