Chakrata is a beautiful hill station lies in the Jaunsar Bawar region of Uttarakhand in the Dehradun district of Uttarakhand, India at the altitude of 7000 feet above sea level. Just lies straight up to the Dehradun valley, at Kalsi where the yamuna river meets with the Tons river(Original stream of Saraswati river), the road to Chakrata begins. Chakrata is 93 km from Dehradun. The road to Chakrata from Dehradun is very scenic. You can also reach Chakrata from Mussoorrie which is 73 km. There are very sight seeing points near Chakrata such as Chilmiri sunset point, Deoban, mundali meadows, Kansar, Ramtal horticulture garden, Yamuna river and Tons river confluence point and Kalsi.
