Hello. I am using mdf or plywood. Paint on board is more important than board.. need to be Chalkboard paint.. hope was helpfull ..

I prefer plywood but mdf is not bad as well after paint with chalkboard paint.. it becomes perfect for menu

@@NameArtistryArt Hi its me again, I just bought some MDF to try out from Home Depot. I also bought a can of primer and chalkboard paint. Do I need to sand down the board at all? It seems like its smooth enough to spray over. Again, thank you!

No. Dont need to sand it. Mdf and chalkboard paint are enought for it.

from what i can see at the beginning, they're using posca chalk markers and uni chalk markers

Ma. Agnetta Mercado I am using Uni Posca if i want to be permenant, but for temporary lettering Uni Posca Chalkmarker..
