Very different Auction Farmall. Liked it, but I like your others better. There were some very nice machines today but I like your tours around the tractors and equipment where you show us the machines. More personal than seeing someone drive the machine thru a building while you're trying to decide how much your willing to go. Anyway, I enjoyed it. As my dear ole dad used to say when buying a used car " your eyes are your market"

Had a triple six gas here for about 8 or 10 years. We liked it on the feed grinder because we grind year round and it was nice to start being a gas engine it did like fuel ours was a near front end it was a really nice tractor to handle for as big as it was it would turn tight maneuvering wagons and stuff like that it was really nice. Traded it in on a new McCormick cx-95 and 07 much better tractor Farmall was great but that 95 was really a nice outfit to run. We do most of our heavy tillage with it mow all the hay bail all around bales it's been a fine replacement for the triple 6

Great video I love that Ford 4600 , Sold good . that 766 was going high , It needs some stuff done to it. I've got a 766 black stripe sitting in my shed in perfect original shape . 3850 hrs. I paid 8.500 $ about 6-7 Years ago. With 18.4 34 firestone tires. People come from all over wanting to buy it. Came from original owner in Iowa. I'm in N.W.Mo.

I use to wonder about "ether addiction" and I've had a lot of engines(mostly Detroit Diesel)that got to the point where you had to have ether or they would not start. I spent a week in a Detroit Diesel class and the instructor said that too much ether actually will bend the piston rings downward slightly which lowers your compression ratio enough to hinder starting. Especially in cold weather. I've worked offshore in the Gulf of Mexico in the oil and gas industry the past 28 years and we have had a lot of cranes with the Detroit diesel. Our company actually banned starting fluid on our facilities. Food for thought

I concur with your thoughts on MTAs and the supers. They tend to be commanding dollars more than I would even put on one. I walked away from an MDTA fully restored. The guy was asking $14,000 for it. I just couldn't come to that. Instead, I brought home a W-9 diamond in the rough good runner. And the other diamond in the rough finally found was a 766 narrow front factory gas tractor. Low hour runs and drives great. Something I could use once in awhile? That's about it all original and it's going to stay that way.

766 has some conversion rims. You are right. 16.9 or 18.4 x 34s would be correct.

FF. That's an interesting rear rim on the 766. Apparently its a 34 to 38 conversion rim. Good idea. Too bad it s not 18 wide. That tractor could be a real animal with 20.8.38 rear tires. That tractor looked pretty good, no leaks but needs new tach glass to see rpms and hours.

I like that 300 utility. Good looking tractor and not too bad in price.

FYI, the Ford 901 is not a select o speed, even though the hood says so, it's a 5 speed,,,,,,,,,better yet. ALSO, the 826 has had an aftermarket cab, once upon a time.

Last week it was half a can of ether for the 282s now it’s 2/3s…they must be getting worse LOL! lots of pretty nice red power at this one. Those 666 are supposed to be good tractors.

Oh, and I don't think that 766 sold. He never said "sold" that I heard. Just immediately went to the next tractor. Lot of that going on at this auction from what I could see. Lots of "golden shoeboxes" that folks think are worth a fortune, but are actually just an empty cardboard box.

The drawbar roller on the Super MTA is factory. It was an option on them. The Super W-6 is very close in serial number to mine. Mine is 6187J. The 766 looks really good . Very nice tractor. So is the 656 and 666. The 1486 is a newer one. The Ford high crop is interesting and the White front wheel assist is even more interesting. That 350 isn't as bad as you think. I am sure it has the original paint by the decals. One I would pick for sure. I have a way greater appreciation for that because a coat of paint can cover a multitude of sins. The 544 is not an industrial as the auctioneer says. They are known as the 2544. It sold cheap. The 766 originally had 34" wheels. Look at the rims. The narrow 38s were added later. The 300 Utility was sure cheap. So was the 350.

$14 Grand on the 766 is strong.

The guy that did that MTA was one of those types that thought they had to use every sticker in the package... Ya gotta know if you want premium value for a tractor you better be correct.
