My favorite Carmen Rosales and Rogelio dela Rosa movie was Maalaala Mo Kaya. Used to watch it often every afternoon on Channel 9, I think? Grade one ako nun kaya half day lang kami sa school, morning session. After lunch, instead of siesta, nanonood ako ng black and white Pinoy movies. May kasama silang bata, yung anak ni Rogelio sa film. Batang babae and she acted well. Alam ko asawa ni Rogelio doon ay si Paraluman pero I think she was ill and bitter and jealous of Roger's old flame na si Carmen who happened to be the music teacher of their daughter. Tapos ang piyesa na piniling iplay ni daughter para sa class recital ay Maalaala mo Kaya na composition pala ni Roger para kay Mameng. I cannot recall how Paraluman died in the movie but she did and Roger and Mameng were free to rekindle their love with the blessings of Roger's and Paraluman's daughter. Kasi Mameng acted more of a mother to her than her own glamorous mother Paraluman did.
