for those saying he hops at the start of the Ripper Roo boss and certain other points, he doesn't press l1 or r1. When you press those buttons to hop, the jump gauge above the turbo gauge will fill, even with the smallest hop possible, because it didn't fill, he didn't press the button, it was more than likely wonky game physics. Mystery Caves turtles automatically make you "hop" by going over them, try it yourself.

22:41 that was the most bullshit thing I’ve seen in this game. You’re literally in eighth place, but some how magically someone who’s way in front of you hits you with the homing rocket. That would’ve made me restart that race, but big ups on you bruddah for doing this challenge. I jus wanted to say how bullshit that beginning of the race was.

Because the direction of the rocket depends on the way the caster is facing. Here, the caster was drifting so he managed to pull out a rocket homing for someone behind him

The jump meter did not fill and he did not get a boost when landing. Therefore, he did not jump. He would have had to slow down in order to not get that “hop.”

This is a challenge i wanted to do a while back after watching DSP's (and to a lesser extent Vinny Vinesauce's) CTR playthrough, simply just to show that one you learn to boost the game is rather easy in any difficulty. Unfortunately, i don't have any way to record footage on console

Yo en el juego original de la ps1 yo jugaba así sin los derrapes con turbo, porque tenía el juego en inglés y no entendía nada y no sabía que se podía hacer eso y me pase al 104% sin hacer derrapes con turbos jajaj

Can you give any advice for being faster than the Velo ghosts. I’m trying to go as fast as possible. Even using the air break while holding back and the direction I’m turning in and I cannot get faster than Velo on a few certain courses. My arms and hands are hurting cause of how hard I’m straining them. Pls help 🥲
