Love the review. Had one for 11 yrs and absolutely loved it. Still do, but had to move it on. Live map and 380bhp- was an absolute riot!

I've had loads of Ford RS's over the years and these are by far my favourite. The handling on these cars is exceptional and super responsive. Owned mine for just over 8 years now and just over 400bhp at the moment. I can't see myself wanting to part with it for a long time yet 😁

Nice review fellas. I've owned #1195 since 2007, and mine is now very heavily modified. They all Torque steer, but get it live mapped and that will sort that. Depending on your base map, whether its AE or AF, will depend on how it drives too. Mines a keeper. Never selling it. Love 'em. The last proper Ford built RS Ford.

I have one , and love it, much more than the MK2 Focus RS I had previously. Another car I would suggest as being as much fun to drive (in the same price bracket) is another ford from the same period, the Racing Puma. I have a Puma 1.7 ( non Racing ) as a run around so the RS stays warm and dry in the garage. They are real hoot to drive. The Yamaha/Ford engine is one of the best NA engines for pure fun. And the Racing Puma is a very pretty car in my opinion, and even rarer with only 500 ever made.

Do love these but I decided to go for the mk2 focus rs about nine years ago and I haven't regretted that decision one bit, mines a lovely low milage stock garaged example and I think prices are about to go through the roof for similar nice ones

My brother has a mk1 1.6 focus as a daily run about..I have a mk1 6 fiesta as a run about.I had the focus for a day as I detailed it it's really comfy and yes a great drive.I aswell own a mk1 focus rs which yes Is abit of a garage queen lol

It's smaller than the new fiesta and it's bloody brilliant ..

I have 1, and it feels more like a series 1, just pure and raw.. 300 bhp is the number you want in a FRS mk1.

This, along with Clio Williams, are the most beautiful hot hatches for me. (I’m discounting Delta Integrale here)

I would say few mods will fix the power issue but I know you want to hold its original value

I've just bought one for a future investment. I paid £35k for a two previous owner with 29k miles. I've had many RS car's over the years and like the other I'm sure this is going to command £50k one day👍🤑

You need to get it on track to really appreciate the diff and handling… It will shock you the amount of grip it has for a Fwd car.

£20k to £30k budget suggestions, try a Megane R26.R!

You could probably get a diff for a £1000ish and fix the torque steer.
