It's time to put my BMW F10 M5 to the test by racing what might be an unfair competitor, Carlos's Single BMW 335i. Inline 6 vs V8. DCT vs 6 speed manual. Single turbo vs twins. 4,400lbs vs 3600lbs. It turned out to be one hell of a race!

OTS maps on bm3 are extremely conservative especially the OTS ethanol blend. It’s barely gonna be a difference from that it’s 93 map. You need a custom map. I’m not sure how big of a difference it’ll make but it’ll definitely close that gap a lot more rather then just switching maps. When you push big power on that platform you’re probably going to have to upgrade the diff mounts bc they’ll snap

I would have to go with the 335i because if you were to blow the engine u can get a replacement for about 2 to 3 k and keep modifying again withing a couple months. as if u were to blow an engine on the m5 u would need to get about 6to 8k for motor but if I had an extra 10k for a m5 repairs I would chose the m5 in a heart beat 🔥🔥🏎

Yeah at over 1000 lbs difference that will happen. If you shed that 1000 lbs off the M5 the result will be different. It's comparing apples to oranges.

In-line 6 is no joke. No matter what engine manufacturer it is you get a balance and torque unrivalled in any other engine configuration. It’s the reason why you find big 14 L in-line 6 in most big rigs

@@Offline.Greedy 335D get an R90 fuel pump or duel R70s. DPF/EGR delete, downpipe, intercooler and youll easy make 400+BHP. Hybrid turbos/meth injection and itll be 500BHP.

@@Offline.Greedy getting the car deleted is enough to push around 370whp and 580wtq. You would just need a vrsf downpipe, an EGR race pipe and a JR tune, eveything should be around 2k including labor if you don’t do the work yourself

One thing I’d like to see more of is diagnostic test results on these cars you run. I constantly see you build massive power machines, and I always wonder what kind of codes you deal with , and if any stay after you’ve built the car , or if you have any codes that you can’t figure out, stuff like that. Cause I’m always having weird codes come up on my n55 335

I didn’t get the whole mossleman oil cooler, I just got the next best thing which is I switched the mechanism inside the OE oil cooler, so now it opens basically the same temp as mossleman oil cooler.

for long term because I know a few people with F 10and I used to have one upgrade radiators and xhp for the clutch doesn’t slip it’s higher line pressure and upgraded transmission pan for better cooling and more lubrication and upgrade it oil cooler and heat wrapped down pipes

@@tickandslug it has a t51R mod but the exhaust note on the kit he has is smoother if you hear like top mount doc race kits they are raspy as shit lol. The runners on the kit is different giving a different tones.

I want to like the F10 M5 but the F90 walks all over it. The E90 is lighter and better for track if you can get the N54 to run without limp mode. But for the time and money it takes to get a N54 single turbo this fast you could of just brought a F10 M5 and be right their with easy mods and w E85 it would have been closer and hes still stock turbos.

Good runs bud. Honestly ots is garbage. Very inconsistent. Go custom on 93oct add a bottle of boostane for some extra fun. If e85 available, get and e40 tune. The difference is about 1sec to 1.5 sec 60-130
