I love Womanity! Women like it more than men, though. The bottle is so interesting, I am going to keep the empties from all sizes and versions. I realized that most of my favourites are polarizing fragrances. The crowd pleasers are mostly boring, but not all of them.

I’m wearing Womanity right now! 👀 I like it and don’t get anything gross from it! Unfortunately Mugler has stopped making unique fragrances. Once L’Oréal took over they’ve gotten a lot “safer.” They actually discontinued Womanity, and it makes me sad. The bottle is art!

I loveeeeee Crystal Noir (EDT) on my skin the opening is a bright orange blossom/ fresh ginger. The dry down is a deep rich creamy coconut\cashmeran. It lasts forever on me. Even after laundry I can smell it on my clothes. ❤

Womanity: Hell fucking yes! One of my most complimented fragrances by both men and women. I get aquatic, not fishy and green AND sweet (not sugary) fig. Black Orchid: Hell fucking no! Smells like death to me. 🤢 🤮 Crystal Noir: Wanted to like this so bad but all I got was soap. Decluttered immediately because my husband didn’t like it on me either. That one was a heartbreaker. 💔 Haven’t smelled the others, so I can’t weigh in. Maria, thanks for this video and your honest, entertaining descriptions! Best perfume influencer video I’ve watched in a while! You are the BEST!

New subie over here! First of all I really love your personality, your such a bubbly person! Versace Noir has been in my collection since I was 14 years old and never left my side (now 35 years old) it was my signature scent along with pure poison for all those years! I just started collecting more frangrances since a few months, so fun! I think my most polarizing frangrances which I LOVE are Versace Noir edp Mugler Aura edp Pepe jeans Celebrate (which has notes of caviar aquatic & chestnut) it is odd but I really enjoy it in fall

Love Black Orchid, but absolutely LOVE Angel!!! Wanted to love Crystal Noir but you’re right- has the right components but did not work out on me. Still need to check out Instant Crush (though not really interested) and K. Lux. Sampled the Kayali it was inspired by, but it was earlier in my fragrance journey and passed it along. Love how you described things today!!!!

I really wanted to love Instant Crush. I do love versions of BR540. It was just off the wall to my nose, all I got was the woody weirdness. (Weird to MY nose, and maybe it's my nose that is off), I couldn't find any BR in that one at all. I struggle with the Mancera fragrances for the reason you stated. And they are so hyped, they make you want to love them lol. I thankfully have not blind-bought any of them but I've been so stinkin' tempted, especially with the gourmands in the line and that's my jam. I am SO interested in Kaheela Lux right now, it may be my next purchase. I really love CD Joy and I think I'm the only person who has ever said that. I really like Decadence, my daughter can't handle it and that's the only reason I don't wear it. It is heavy, though. Black Orchid. I wear it for a month and then can't handle it anymore, then I miss it and will wear it religiously but then I get to a point where I never want to smell it again. I've been never wanting to smell it again for a good while now. If I'm being honest, I love dupe house clones of BR540 rather than the original. With BR, I get all the weird notes people talk about like dentist's office, and I feel like it needs sweetness-but the clones usually have the added sweetness and a bit more vanilla, (right now Dossier is my fave), so my nose is probably just super immature (duh, I love BR540 CLONES, hello), and not ready to deal with the artistic side of perfumery, although I get that it's there and wish I appreciated that facet more. I really wish people would be nicer to Dior Joy lol.

Great video! I love Mugler scents! (At least, before the L’Oreal purchase.)I have several Aliens, Angels, Aura and Womanity. I even have a couple of the older ones, like Innocent and Eau de Star. It seems like the ones that are hardest to take at first, turn out to be the biggest loves for me.

I so agree with you! I was blessed to be able to get the average size of it and then something told me to buy the largest size of the bottle which I did. I almost went back and bought another large one but I procrastinated and the next thing I know it's discontinued😢

Instant crush is one of my top 5 for life. I can understand why some have issues with it because it develops on different skins differently. On me it smells rich, sexy and feminine - the sweet note on me develops more. Whenever I put it on in the air it reminds me so much of Dune, but Dune for XXI Century. Also just to add Black orchid is on my top 5 and Crystal Noir is also among my favorites:)

I love hearing about polarizing fragrances; our perceptions are all so different and fascinating. I haven't tried Instant Crush, but every BR540 fragrance wanna be has been a fail for me. That said, I'm one of those who loves Manceras and haven't met one yet that I didn't love or like. I love and own both Kaheela Lux and Decadence. Womanity I only smelled when it was first released and at that time, it wasn't for me, but again, it's been a long time and my nose has matured, so I would love the chance to try it again. Black Orchid I really appreciate and like how it smells, but it doesn't suit me personally. And Crystal Noir was a bit disappointing for me, as I was expecting something dark and delicious, but I found it rather cold, nondescript and forgettable. There's nothing "noir" about it.

It's so interesting that you bring up crystal noir. I've had my heart set on trying/buying that fragrance for well over two years now. Just reccently I found a middle eastern dupe, and all I can say is that, if this is even somewhat close to the real thing, I'm not really so sure I want it. To me, the gardenia and coconut do not work together. They are way too conflicting to be paired together. The best way I can describe it is, it's like watching two guys in a UFC fight. They're going head-to-head for hours upon hours. It's clear it's going to be a tie no matter what and yet, they still keep fighting. The combination of those two notes has been giving me a headache every time I've tried it. In my opinion, I feel like jasmine would have suited that fragrance WAY more than the gardenia. I'm going to let my bottle macerate for a while and see if my opinion changes at all over time. But I also purchased a sample of the real thing to be absolutely certain of my feelings on it. (Apparently the EDT has been reformulated. New formulation - box is brown and yellow. And the old formulation is a brownish/black box. So I'm not sure how that will effect the scent profile as a whole I'm absolutely devastated that I'm not more in love with this fragrance. I really thought that I would adore this fragrance right off the bat.

I had Crystal noir on my wish list forever and my mom gifted it to me this past Christmas and I don’t know why I liked how it smelled testing it over the years in department stores… but I do not now lol you are literally spot on!! It’s full blown after shave 😂 I couldn’t pin point what I didn’t like about it but that’s it!

OMG--The little hairy Instant Crush guy ended up quite sexy! That slayed me! Did anyone else picture their plumber? As for Womanity, I kept hearing about how "dirty" it was. When I got to smell a tester in store, I was scared. Then this soft, pleasant scent emerged from that bottle and left me quite confused! That bottle, however, would have been perfect for Alien. To me it looks like someone in chains being tortured with melting candle wax. 😂

I live in a small town where most people do not wear fragrance. I love perfume but the only ones I have recieved positive reactions from are my beloved Chance Eau Tendre as well as Libre. I love, love, love all kinds of scent profiles but if I wear anything slightly "over-the-top", people lose their damn mind (and not in a positive way).

Hallöchen! Instant Crush is my crush since last summer. I picked it up on hollidays in Fuerteventura and love it to wear it on dates with my crush😂❤. Decadence for years it was too much for me. Last year I go to a sale from a perfumerie that close. I smell it and take it home with me 100ml for 40€. Now I enjoyed it, but not every day. But in the winter it is quiet nice and warm. Womanity, yes I own, yes sometimes I wore it and like it. But I think I will get rid of it while the next year. But I like the caviar fish aspect. I hype Electimus Black Caviar and the tuqouise bottle from Pepe Jeans the Champagneglas and dont get the name yet. Black Orchid is not me. But Velvet Orchid is my spring scent. Crystal noir is the scent for going on a cinema evening and watch vampire movies. My most polorising scent is the black Caviar. I know nobody who tested my perfume wardrobe and find it good. I just pulled out my 2 ml sample of Instant Crush and tried it. Definitely glad I didn't blind-buy a bottle. I have a 10ml decant of Kaheela Lux. I pulled it out along with a travel size of Invite Only Amber. They are about 50% the same, but Invite Only Amber wins, no question!!!

Now crystal noir did have to grow on me. I usually layer it with ysl libre intense to make it sweeter and those TOGETHER create this sexy, soapy, slightly masculine vibe and men literally break their necks to that combo lol

I'm in the Decadence smells like pickles camp. I've tested it out a couple times and I can't get past the pickles Womanity, I looove! I a not always a fan of fig, but it is different in Womanity. It starts tart and juicy and becomes fresh sea air. The bottle is so unique and stunning. Black Orchid is a sometime a love and sometimes a hate. I've only worn it a couple times and it was so beautiful and sexy each time. But many times I go to give it a sniff to see if I am in the mood to wear it, I find it overwhelming and musty. I think it must smell better on skin than from the cap.

I subscribed to you because of your description of Instant Crush, which was so funny. I don't enjoy it either, and I use it in the gym to finish it as soon as possible, seeing its bottle on the shelf is a bummer and a sign of a failed blind buy! It has a rubbery smell and it's so dense, long-lasting but with no good projection.

I like/love womanity, smells like the outdoors in early spring. I do get a plastic tampon vibe. Alien is just much too strong. Decadence I should like from the notes but I find it too over the top. yet I love Angel.

I’m not familiar with how many of these smell, but I did smell Crystal Noir (expecting it to be really sexy because of reviews), and I although I wouldn’t mind wearing it as an easy throw on, it doesn’t strike me as a sexy scent at all. It’s just basic like the og LVEB through my nostrils. I will say that I used to get headaches from Baroque satin oud, but now my nose is adjusting to it I’m not getting headaches and I like it.

I really struggle with Instant Crush. I’ve had a big bottle since last August and my husband asked me to please never wear that again. He said it smelled like an overly scented gym. I didn’t get that but it bothered him so much I showered, so I never got very far into the fragrance. I’m ready to try again. 😊

I don't think I've gotten to smell any of this list. But top of my brain because I'm smelling it right now is La Capitale from Xerjoff...my sample came today and I instantly sprayed it on my skin and it does the exact heavy, suffocating musky thing that Erba Pura did with just the tiniest bit of strawberry in the opening. So glad I got a sample! Funny thing my skin does amazing with Mancera!!! So weird!

A salesman gave me broken Womanity tester that I could only smell the bottle- no sprays. Thank God because it is one of the most vile smelling perfumes. FYI, I despise any fig notes. So, combine that with the fishy smell (I also hate seafood lol) and it’s a big fat NO for me. I howled at your Black Orchid description. I am exactly the same as you. 🤣 The worst I’ve ever smelled is Superstitious by Fredric Malle. One spray and I just want someone to shoot me and put me out of my misery.

Well, I can't say you talked me into any of these fragrances, but I had a good laugh. 😂. Angel by Mugler and also Angel Muse, I LOVE them, but not everyone is on board with them. In fact, a friend of mine asked me not to wear Angel because it made her nauseous 😐 I'm intrigued by Decadence, but as you know, it's been discontinued. Middle Eastern fragrances to the rescue! Fragrance World has a dupe out for it called...... Dolores. Which is a name that sounds like the exact opposite of decadence. Still, it's gotten some good reviews, so I'm going to give it a whirl (it was only 21€). I'm curious about Val's take on it. 🤔

When I tried Opulent Red, it immediately made me think of an old library at an estate, it opens boozy because of the cognac note, has a white floral mid, and dries down to a woody vanilla. It is one of the most beautiful fragrance I own, and I was shocked to find out that it is considered challenging by some people. I got to play Mary Bennet in a fun Christmas sequel to Pride and Prejudice, and it was the fragrance I wore to rehearsals because of the Regency estate library vibes. Whenever I find out a fragrance is considered challenging, I worry that I smell bad or am offending others when I wear it.

Hi Maria, my take on fragrances you mentioned that I've tried: Instant crush-my female friend has it and she loves it-I am kind of done with BR540 dna fragrances, to me, it's like a softer BR540, meh for me Decadence-smelt it years ago,I remember my first thought: perfume from 100 years ago, sour,gross,hated it Black orchid-also my friend has it, I cannot deny that it is an interesting scent but me,I wouldn't wear it myself,it's ok Chrystal noir-I love it,adore it,it deffinitely smells like sex, sexy, cuddley,soft,alluring,amazing. My only regret is that everyone is wearing it.😂

BK540 and anything in that DNA vein I know it’s a court fav but absolutely gives me a headache! I can’t with the BK540 DNA’s. So so irritating to me, funny thing my daughter wears it at all the time and I’m the silly one that gave it to her bc I couldn’t stand it after blind buying it from the “it’s so good” from everyone phase which I got over quickly! But oh man Marie you and I have similar fragrances loves so crazy tho how Versace Crystal Noir is not good for you I’m so surprised! I don’t get that at all with Crystal Noir it’s so soft and feminine and clean and powdery almost like a new born baby after a bath. It truly is one of my 10 for life fragrances. Awwww never knew that

I am getting ready for work, not sure what perfume to wear, after watching this … Crystal Noir it is. Love Black orchid with a passion. Been wearing Angel since it came out. Decadence … I have a backup bottle, just delicious to me. Hmmm … again after watching this …. do I really stink? 😂😂😂

I sprayed my 2ml sample of instant crush, still yuck, but now I picture my ex husband too, lol😂 I do love the black orchid parfum (gold bottle) but all my winter coats tend to reek of it when I get them out of storage each year, even after dry cleaning!

LOL you crack me up! I've never smelt Womanity but to me, Angel Muse (EDP) is the most disgusting scent in existence (thank gawd it's discontinued), I get no "nutella" vibes, just a blast of acrid grapefruit and detergent/alcohol vileness!!! Instant Crush is growing on me too, and I'm starting to really like it, Decadence was my go-to in college and EVERYONE loved it on me, one of my most complimented frags of all time. Unfortunately, my nearly full bottle has gone off, and it now smells rancid and is orange, pity :(

Funny how Womanity has a salty caviar note, and I don't detect it at all. It smells fresh and floral (fig probably) to my nose. But other fragrances with marine or salt notes, I can't stand. Love the bottle too. Very H R Giger... (artist that created the Alien creature) Black Orchid is though... Crystal Noir Edt is kinda dark and "not me", but it's nice.

I really dislike Mancera Instant Crush for the same reason, I believe, I dislike Baccarat Rouge. I wish I knew what ingredient is that, like an aftertaste, Ambroxan? I have many vintage original Angel flankers now and I love them, but when Angel initially came out I thought it was too overpowering. Out of the Black Orchids I can only handle the Eau de Toilette, not sure if I love it though. You nailed on the head with your impression on that one. Lol 😂

Hi there...love your videos....I used to have womanity back in the day when it first came out in 2010-2011..it was gorgeous..my favoirite and signature for 2 years ..than I bought it again some years later and it was reformulated...dirty and metallic...disgusting to a point I couldn t do it. The only fragrance I ever decluttered in my life...they ruined it. Same with crystal noir until 2020 was outstanding..I have the current formulation and it does smell like aftershave...hate it..both fragrances from love to hate for me! And it s true...crystal noir used to drive men crazy..now it s just unbearable!
