Love your 3-1 (the first one - not the game 4 instance) that earned you a Sander's OOPS. ( I paused the video to give it far more thought than you could afford the time to do, and I STILL got it wrong! 🤔)

I did the same - very interesting position! Anchor or 5pt was the correct play, but in the moment, even with extra time, I was convinced by the hit. Maybe Marc's commentary swayed me, haha. I love this format and thank you to Marc and thanks for the comment Tim.

Great video, Marc. Many thanks. My only feedback is when you're going through the mistakes afterwards, you go quite quickly. I find myself having to pause or scroll back. A couple of extra seconds would make a big difference. Thanks again!

I like changes in backgammon galaxy app. But I still use old web version because of chat. I can write to people and make friends. In App I can’t make friends, the chat is limited.

Embryonic… a position that is weak now, but stands to grow strong next roll… I made up that term recently.

The opposite of am embryonic position is a “concrete” position. That is a position that is strong NOW, but doesn’t stand to grow stronger.

@@Marcolino10DK in your wlysis in that double hit to gain a tempo and pause his embryonic moves to further develop, you also hope to take aim at his slotted 5 pt blot. further halting his embryonic position developing whilst also gaining another hit for you. i assume this is correct , you ort of didn't mention that.

The site is like the old version of backgammon galaxy and it will be down soon. There will only be the new version on both web and mobile

I love the content you put out Marc! Thank you! I had a question. In this video, and in your book, you say it's never wrong to take the cube in the early game. I've struggled sometimes identifying early vs middle game. How would you define the early game? Thanks!

From Marc: Marc's rule: "Early cubes are always takes." When is it early? "When the structures are still under-developed or your only have 8 men in the zone."

Opponent's moves would be much easier to understand if the app included some sort of piece motion, rather than instantly changing the position. When watching a live board, we of course can see the pieces move, which is easy to follow.

The ONE time I disagreed with you and was correct was the 6-3 to make the 5 instead of your hit on the 7. But unfortunately it's not that my analysis was better... ...it's just that you were too hasty and didn't see it. 😭 (though, tbh, at the time I strongly suspected you just missed it since you didn't even pause to consider it. Oh well...)
