I like the interviewer. She actually let him talk for the most part. Hosts that interrupt people they're interviewing are obnoxious.

I have seen several such comments on KZfaq prasing the interviewer for giving hosts the proper time to answer a particular question but people forget that all such anchors have a clock ticking for them to take a break and also to not to end the intervew abruptly and it is not each to manage time.

Chamath is very on the mark. Maybe Silicon Valley is now mature, just like the car business. Incremental improvements ahead but few game changers. Note that several companies are chipping away at YT because of censorship. The loss of content creators will eventually erode the earnings of Alphabet.

You need the technology to be built first before you can regulate it. Henry Ford needed to invent the automobile first, before automotive regulation could be put in place.

Much respect for Chamath. It's hard for me to understand and accept the capitalist desire for profitability and growth when we are faced with a Climate Crisis that is dictating our very survival. I'm sorry, but my thinking and reality is always reminded of this fact. We as a species will soon enough be faced with either temporarily putting aside this obsession and solve the crisis together, or perish.

I absolutely cannot stand journalists and/or interviewers who interrupt their guests. Largely, it's the guest's answers and elboration, hence let them fckn speak, that stirs interest and viewership otherwise the interviewers are talking to themselves. This guy Palihapitiya is an interesting listen. His direct answers provide some...insight.

This guy is very good at talking, but a bit short on substance. "The underlining business model is always changing"??? yeah, if you haven't found the business model that works for your business, yeah, sure. And let's face it, Elon Musk is not exactly Steve Jobs material, for starters, he can't make a business profitable if his life depends on it!
@ededdneddy988
@ededdneddy988 6 жыл бұрын
I don't think you can compare them, Musk is far superior imo. Musk has a history of building 5 multi million dollar companies from the ground up, 3 of them ended being worth over a billion, Jobs has apple only. Jobs is more of a businessman and technologist. Musk is both those things, an engineer, physicist and an inventor.
@ayrmendina8314
@ayrmendina8314 6 жыл бұрын
Not true. Jobs also had Pixar.
@ededdneddy988
@ededdneddy988 6 жыл бұрын
Ayr Medina yeah you're right sorry about that. I also made another mistake, Musk actually turned 4 of the 5 companies he's founded into billion dollar companies, and he currently runs 3 simultaneously and all 3 are a massive success, you can't take that for granted. The boring company will possibly become his 5th billion dollar venture which is unprecedented. That makes him the greatest entrepreneur of all time

@Blumpkin Lover & @mitch Paul, based solely on your comment you both are contradictions and "possibly racist". This is what tokenism, bias, and racism looks like. Click this link: yoursalso.com/zz/ Here is where both of your contradiction & possibly racist character comes into view. Chamath only got his opportuniy because of DIVERSITY IN TECH; so, are either of you implying that Chamath is not qualified or is a token? This is what what tokenism & the lack of diversity looks like: yoursalso.com/zz/ In my opinion the school systems need to teach at the very least U.S. history to all students. I assume neither of you are from the United States? & Yes, I am an electrical engineer who has worked in the semiconductor industry for over 17 years.
