Chameleons may have one of the best tether-grabs in the game but they still have relatively low power and intelligence stats. In fact their INT is so low that they don't even use their color change ability for camouflage, instead using it for emotes. My vote for most overpowered lizard is the Komodo dragon or the Perentie. (ok but actually, awesome video. Much more in-depth than my episode on lizards. I didn't mention the chameleon's crazy vision abilities or their occasional horns, so I may need to revise my position on how great they are.)

Komodos may have high base stats, but their inability to spread beyond 4 islands in the Sundas really shows their limitations. Chameleons on the other hand, while having low INT, have dominated Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East. Due to their limited range and population, Komodos lack genetic diversity - running the risk of falling out of the meta if the environment updates, like currently rolling out global warming patch. Komodos' relatives - other members of the Varanidea family - like Monitor Lizards, on the other hand, have been much more successful, and perhaps have a shot at dethroning the Chameleon. Yet, what they have in solid base stats is dwarfed by Chameleons special abilities - UV Vision, Super-Fast-Tongue, Colour Changing, zygodactylous feet, 360 degree vision, and traditional camouflage. Always good to see TierZoo in the comments. 😃

Ironic how creatures like Cuttlefish and Octopuses are more akin to the color changing for camouflage adaptation than Chameleons, seeing that in a lot of cartoons, it's almost a stereotype for Chameleons to have ridiculously impressive camouflage.

Chameleons have such dramatic, rapid changes that it’s hard not to notice, especially if you happen to catch one nabbing a snack. Seems to be what they’re after anyway. The cephalopods are hands down the masters of camouflage, but that means they’ll often go unnoticed.

He discussed the best abilities to select when playing as lizards, rather than the individual species themselves. At first he praises the chameleon's impressive abilities, up until he mentions their color changing. By that point, he straight up starts fuming. "So let me get this straight. You got _the most powerful stealth ability in the entire game..._ And you're going to *use it for EMOTES?"*

Please do one on goldfish! Please do some reasearch, goldfish get 18 inches long, have a complex relationship with humans, and other interesting features about some breeds scales that make them look “matt” and others that have eyes that aren’t attached to their skull and pop out of their head. They feel the same pain as any other animal, and are the most abused pet in modern history! There is so much about them people never know, but is so necessary
