My current favourite Djokovic and my tennis idol Pete...enjoyed the humble conversation these 2 had...nice anchoring by Tim..I remember the days when Pete was winning everything I literally wanted someone to beat him😀 what so admirable about Pete is that his dead calmness, complete concentration, his stamina and power, he was well ahead of his time kinda of player that too without much technology, advancement in nutrition at that time ....shocking he had to retire at age of 32 else he would have won 3 or 4 GS more. To say otherwise , if same Prime Pete plays now with so much advancement in sports he would have all the capability to dethrone Top 3 with his thunderbolt/accurate serve, Volley, lightening forehand, bullet backhand and his rock solid stamina . I can talk about Pete hours and hours that’s how much I dissected his game and now I love doing it for Novak. 2 amazing players who makes tennis interesting.

he turned that prostaff 85 into a loaded weapon... would be absolutely terrifying what he would do in his prime with newer racket technology and the advancements they've made in Strings..... Andy Roddick had a HUGE serve.. but Pete's even though it wasn't as fast was always more dangerous.. to quote Jim Courier "Pete has such a presence on the court that is so tough to deal with and you can be as mentally tough as you want to be, you just can't deal with that serve"

@@olaraay slams don't show the truth. He was super dominant if you watched those years. People don't follow the sport I think. Players didn't choose all slams to go to those days they had chosen ones. The game has changed. Many things have changed. This is why taking numbers to judge big 3 is bs. Sampras in many aspects of the game and overall could be the goat still. I know people who follow the sport and tell me no one has been as dominant since. Sampras got super bored after 6 years at 29 and stopped training at 29. Then after 1.5 years of no training and a back injury that he really didn't see point at that point to play the sport and do all the added stuff to go back to form but also becasue he felt that since child it was all tennis, he got the old coach back for a month in 2002 for that us open and then changed stuff and did other stuff.

Beyond a doubt, Novak is mentally the toughest sportsman ever! Playing and WNNING against the crowds most of his biggest matches, particularly when fighting for trophies - requires a mental giant. Novak’s ability to turn adversary into his advantage is unheard of. “When they chant Roger, Roger, I hear Novak, Novak” is probably the biggest statement in sports! He takes crowds animosity as the source of his energy and use it directly against his opponent!! My goodness!

Pete and Novak have a LOT in common as players. Both have/had the best single shot in the game at their times - Pete w/the serve, Novak with the return - and both were not crowd favorites and had to fight through that, though Pete didn't seem to really care that much if the crowd liked him or not which I think helped him immensely with stress. Novak sometimes invites undue stress on himself because he wants the crowd's acceptance.

Even Novak,he had the best season,17000 points in the current moment and still lost spot number 1 at the end from Murray just few points different. As well 2013, he lost number 1 spot from Nadal last month, for just few months before he returned to the number 1 again! Se he could easily be number 1 for 7,8 years already... But that's sport! That's why this year he's kicking off again!!! Let's hope that he can menage to win US OPEN!!! He's already The Greatest of all time, but with plus US OPEN,he will be God, immortal in tennis terms, which he's already!!! It's great to watch this legend's speaking together and sharing they're experience!!! One day when they're all gone, retire,Novak,Rafa and Fed,he's already done I think... Tennis will not be the same anymore!!! I mean, new youngsters will arrive, but still... Never again Era like this one, with Big 3!!! Big 1 actually, quite a while... But still, wholly trinity,Novak, Roger,Rafa!!! Never again in history of tennis!!!

It is funny because I always dislike Agassi so much mostly because of his attitude but when he finished his tennis career and I watched his classic matches with Sampras Safin Becker Federer Kafelnikov and others and I just realized how good he really was...His game was simply flawless when he was in his zoom..When I look at the new generation of the players with big serve and waiting for return ball 20 feets behind baseline I wish he was back to give some lessons to the youngsters.

@@narcyznarcyz-uv4td I feel like Agassi’s game would translate so well to the modern day. He was probably the 3rd best baseline player of all time behind only Nadal and Djokovic and just barely in front of Federer. I disagree with you on the “these kids need to stop standing 20 feet behind the baseline” though. It doesn’t work for everyone, but for very strong players like Thiem Nadal or Wawrinka it’s an incredibly effective strategy. They just get to hit the ball so hard off the return. Fun fact: Nadal is statistically the 2nd best of all time at breaking serve, ahead of Djokovic, Murray and Agassi.
