It's awesome seeing videos like this. I got really bad arthritis in my right hand after COVID and couldn't play two-handed games because it would hurt like hell. The normal treatments didn't work and I didn't have the money to try many assets for one-handed people. A nice guy that had a 3D printer got me the controller asset that you can't charge without removing the asset 😂 and I couldn't get used to it, but the Nintendo switch one (very simple one that I found on KZfaq) worked well for more simple games. Aside from that, I started getting games that you could play with just one hand, like RPG-makers, some point and click ones etc and could manage. It really helped and I found some gems. I'm on a better treatment now that is finally working, but it's been two years and it's amazing how you just get used to stuff and do what you can. Thanks for sharing information on what you can do to keep playing games even if you can't use one of your hands. Great, inspirational, simply amazing! Hope you play lots and lots of great games!

Book? No. I appreciate other medias/mediums for leading me to literature. But for me and others like me fiction/stories are superior in text, in books, expressed in literature. It's more portable and cheaper. It doesnt need electricity and other accessories. It's the ultimate physical media. I'll give an example. I played the witcher 3 but the books is much more superior and original. Stories in books has more philosophy and details and has more freedom. In literature it utilizes language to the max so it can produce other arts like making a visual/performance arts from the scenes from a book and making music, melody, poetry from it. Classic literature is the foundation of modern media if not for it we won't have the other medias. Books are also much more personal, if you don't have aphantasia and can make sense, imagine, relate to what you're reading. The quality of title of choice will also be one the main factor if not the main.

Always great to see someone overcoming adversity with such a great attitude. Idk if you will see this but i wanted to share it with you. When i was young a friend of mine was in an accident and also lost his arm. About a year later i went to his house for the first time. I was completely blown away. Not only had he leaned to use a stock ps2 controller with one hand but he could absolutely stomp anyone in a fighting or fps game playing this way. He just laid the controller in his lap, thumb and ring finger on the sticks with the rest them wrapped around the controller to reach all the buttons. It was truely one of the most impressive things i have ever seen. With the accessibilty of 3d printing and other things i have no doubt there are better moden solutions but i just wanted to let you know that it is in fact possible to play a dual stick with one hand. Great video. Stay positive and keep up the good work.

Back in 2005 one of my Warcraft guild members lost his arm in a severe car accident, and was worried he couldn’t play WoW anymore. He found a similar solution with a mouse that had a lot of buttons, more than an MMO mouse which already has a lot more buttons than usual. His skill level to this day is extremely high, people are shocked to find out he has one arm.

A friend of mine had part of his foot amputated last summer and just had a relapse last month due to an infection. I know how tough that can be from a secondary pov on a partial basis. You're doing super well. When i was on Facebook a few years ago there used to be a really interesting group of people that made their own control devices, not just modded for single hands, but also for none or other extreme movement disabilities. I wish i could remember what they were called. Goodness knows theyre probably on discord. If it comes back to me ill come back and leave it here. What you have now seems like an amazing solution, though. Good luck to you, and excellent video!

I can relate to your experience. Following a motorcycle accident in October 2017 that left my right arm paralyzed, I struggled with depression and felt like I was falling into a bottomless pit. However, I found solace in using a regular controller with my left hand to play games like Minecraft, BF1 (using sniper only), and FH5 after a few months. As time passed, I began exploring other options such as the Xbox adaptive controller and the original Azeron keypad. I even reached out to them to inquire about the possibility of creating a one-handed controller, but nothing materialized at the time. In 2019, I purchased a 3drudder to use with my Azeron keypad, but it also required a Xim to make everything work together. The cost of these accessories made me realize the financial investment required just to play games at a casual level. However, by the end of 2019, I had mastered playing with the regular Xbox controller using only one hand. Due to the size of my hands, I can manipulate the left analog with the top part of my palm, use my pinky on the left trigger, my right index finger on the right trigger, and control the buttons and right analog stick with my thumb. I've been playing this way up to 2024, and when I compete in multiplayer games, it's quite amusing to see the surprise on people's faces when they realize I'm dominating with just one hand. Overall man have fun! I'll be starting up my Channel soon... Hopefully I'm not to old being 27 hahaha

Hey man. I’m a fellow amputee and gamer. However. I’m a left below knee amputee. Been about 14 years since my accident. I always wondered what would I have done if I lost my hand/arm in my accident. My favorite pastime has always been video games. I consider myself lucky and I really commend you for having such a great attitude about it all. Your willingness to adapt and keep so positive is really admirable. It’s so great that we live in an age where so many people have the ability to create these adaptations for people like us and that you can have so many choices. Sure, not all are very practical but the fact that we have options is pretty amazing. Keep at it and keep the passion for the hobby and for life. Life after such a traumatic event can be overwhelming but it’s just different and after so long, will feel just like second nature. Be well, my friend.

My thoughts exactly, I can't even imagine what its like to lose a arm let alone cope with it so well. I remember a lady I was in rehab with breaking down and crying because she lost both her legs in a car crash, I can only imagine the beginning was just as hard for Champutee. I broke 3 limbs getting ejected out of a car. Seat belt snapped in half(luckily, engine ended up in the drivers seat), only had a functioning right leg, took 3 months before I could walk or use my hands mostly correctly. Relearning how to use you body is not easy, mad props to this kid dealing with a amputation so well.

I have a friend who plays singlehandedly as well, due to an accident which caused all the nerves in his dominant hand to be severely damaged beyond repair. He's not the best gamer I've ever met of course, but his skill set with such an interfering disability astonishes me. We play a lot of games that, most comfortably, requires two hands to play (as we both main PC). Seeing him play like any other abled person would doesn't even begin to elucidate the pure admiration i feel for him. It is amazing how humans can adapt so well.
