As a Tanzanian, I’ve experienced the hypocrisy Ruto and his gov’t have. At the first we thought he was going to be like Magufuli, apparently he was just playing with our mind. Ruto thinks he “is” Obama that’s why he tries to walk, talk, smile like Obama. His body language says it all. Don't worry. Kenya has few natural resources, and the little we have they have taken it in form of wildlife conservancies. What they want is a military base in Manda island. That's what a major non NATO ally means. The president will be paid handsomely of course. The rest of the promises are empty

Am starting to like this man, President Ruto, his charisma, down to earth style of leadership despite his taxation. I bet he might change our country to something worth being proud of. He needs competent people who are in sync with the daily struggles of Kenyans and with less appetite for corruption and pilferage. I have been sceptical about him, but I see his strength from a different angle now, which i assumed. He is a man equal to the task.

There is no such thing as the daring president. President Ruto is just a lucky guy to have been in power when the US interest in Africa is at its peak especially in light of the competition that is going on right now between the east and the west. The US would have done the same thing with any other president, if the timing was right as it is now. You are giving too much credit to Ruto. Is he lucky? Yes!
