Chana Dal Modak
Ingredients:
1 Cup - Chana Dal
¾ Cup - Water
1+1/4 Cup - Sugar Powder
1 tbsp - Soaked Saffron with Water
Pinch - Kesar Color
2-3 Drops - Lemon Juice
1 tsp - Cardamom Powder
1 tbsp - Chopped Almonds
1 tbsp - Chopped Pistachio
1/8 Cup - Ghee
Garnish - Pistachio Flakes
Method:
Take a Chana Dal, Wash and Soak for 5-6 Hours. Strain it and Without water Grind it.
Make Hand Wet and Make a Tikki and Fry Light Golden in Oil or Ghee.
Let Completely Cool and Make Piece and Let Cool Completely
Chasni:Take a Kadhai add Water, Sugar Powder, Let Dissolve Sugar and then Add Soaked Saffron with water, add Pinch Kesar Color, Mix and Let Boil Little. no need of any String only looks like Honey.
Take a Tikki Grind in Mixie. Grind Coarsely
In Chasni add Grinded Coarsely Powder, Mix Properly and Cardamom Powder, Almonds Chopped, Pistachio chopped. Close the Lid and Cook for 10 min, mix again and Close the Lid and Cook for 10 min. Mix Properly. Add Ghee and Mix Properly, it should be Cook Properly and Let Cool Completely
Take a Modak Mould and add Pistachio Flakes and Put above Mixture.
