Recipe :
Chana Jor Garam
Preparation Time: 30 minutes + Soaking Time + Drying Time
Cooking Time: 20-25 minutes
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients:
250g bengal gram (kala chana)
For the Masala:
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp amchur powder
1 tsp chat masala
1 tsp black salt
Oil to fry
Method:
Soak the chana over night or for 6-8 hours.
Pressure cook the chana with a little water for 2-3 whistles.
Remove the boiled chana to a board. Flatten out the chana with the help of a rolling pin or keep a few together and press together to flatten them out.
Spread on a tray in a Single layer and dry in the sun for 3-4 hours or under a fan for 6 hours.
Fry the dried chana chips in medium hot oil till the bubbling in the pan reduces. Fry in 4 equal batches.
Remove on an absorbent paper. Sprinkle the prepared masala over the chana and toss to mix well.
Cool and store in an airtight container.
