Songs like this one from the Big Day are actually pretty good imo, it still has that childlike whimsically that Chance carries in his style but the way the song had a sad tone makes this endearing, like he is reminiscing on nostalgia whilst accepting that those days are behind him

the way i interpret this song, which is the best on the album to me, is that life is hard. if you have someone that makes you wanna be the best you and live your best life, thats awesome. cherish that person and do things together and be better together. whatever choices you make are simply choices and probly should be happening. stay positive with any choice you make.
