I absolutely adore the slingbacks !! You will look amazing wearing them, and I'm sure Gabrielle will look down and applaud your taste in fashion. When you said she died in 1971 it made me smile to think I was 12 years old. Had i traveled to Europe who knows I might have been able to meet her !!

Hi Dacob ,I wasn't surprised at all that you purchase this shoes it's so you I own this shoes i had a hard time finding my size seven.I also have a pair of chanel flats same color all leather with the cc on the front I enjoyed wearing mine with my chanel jumbo flap bag in beige. Watching you is so educational you're the best.

I bought mine in 2016 and they were the last pair in the store. They are not as comfortable as the rest of the Chanel shoes as I own, but they look incredible withe jeans and a white shirt.

I just tried on a few other models yesterday at the boutique. Hey were all not as comfortable as the slingbacks. I guess they were really made for my foot cuz I rarely feel so comfortable in shoes. You sure you bought the right size?

Grosgrain is the closest to the original 1957 version so I would always prefer it to ta leather cap :) xoxo

@@SuperDacob you are welcome! Your new stunning shoes have been on my thoughts today. I was wondering would I myself actually wear them (especially the golden ones that aren´t made anymore) or keep them pristine as collection pieces. Will putting a protective sole on them steal their soul? I guess I´d end up hunting for the same shoes from the pre-loved market to actually wear as they have already been worn (and somebody else has loaded the guilt on themselves) while keeping the brand new ones virginal on display...

Thats not a good sign Minzy. You got them new from the boutique or second hand? If you got them new from the CHANEL boutique and the shoes already have deep creases, then I would contact the sales staff at the boutique and see what they can do and eventually return the shoes.

My shoe size is 42.5 sometimes even 43. I am sad so few designers Chanel included don`t make shoes up to my size. I have tried many times Chanel shoes in 42 but they have been too small. This model however would have suited me fine in this size, but I was not so into the look then.

I have to make another comment: Every single review of yours just awe inspires me. Can anyone from Chanel please notice #superdacob ?! There is nobody more passionate, avid and thorough about the brand and Coco herself. Chanel is all about extreme precision, meticulous attention to every single detail and breaking rules and stretching the boundaries are some of the main elements of the brand. You’re right! Two-tone calls more attention to the toe front.. hence, the length of the foot. Unless you’re wearing those only walking around in the dark. Then, yeah... 😂

Hi Dacob! 1st of all, thanks for accepting my instagram request: damned I did miss seeing all the modshots of your infamous HR Giger's brooch! I've just sent another request for your new Chanel related Instagram page. That's funny: I was about to ask you in your last videos if after RTW, you were thinking of starting a shoe collection. I started mine 3 years ago and I own about 15 pairs. I don't collect classics (as genderless as they are, those wonderful slingbacks would look awful on my thick legs. Remember that Carl Lewis wearing stilettos ad from the 1990's? ) but Chanel's reinterpretations or hommages I shall say of classic high-street brands (ugg, doc martens, puma, nike, caterpillar, vans, scholl....). I love how they always manage to put the maison's codes (interwoven chain, capped toe, camelias, pearls, matelassé leather...) in all those copies. My size is also 42 and they are so easy to hunt down...especially on sales or even during their staff sales! I am so surprised you have some hard times putting your hands on them where you are. In Paris, especially at the 19 rue Cambon boutique, I always manage to find my size anytime. Most of them are so comfy that I even use their sneakers at the gym!

This was an unboxing. Not a review ;) These shoes are an object of high design that in my opinion borders to art. It has a sculptural quality for me. No need to try it on in order to enjoy it. I will however wear them and document that as well.
