Knowing how to Change Oil and Filter on your vehicle is very important and save you money, even if you let a service shop do it for you, at least you know what's the proper way.
FRAM
(Majority made in the United States) Since 1932, FRAM is probably the largest oil filter maker in the United States. FRAM is currently part of the First Brands Group, a global automotive parts company with nine market leading brands.
When FRAM launched their Ultra Synthetic Oil Filter Design in Sept, 2021, they said, “Over 90% of FRAM Ultra Synthetic® oil filters are developed, engineered, and made here in the USA.” It’s safe to assume 10 percent of that line of oil filter is made elsewhere.
So, not all of FRAMs oil filters are made in the United States but a majority are.
FRAM has manufacturing and marketing facilities in Rochester Hills, Michigan; Hebron, Kentucky; and Greenville, Ohio.
