Change Number Format Button Styles in Excel 🔥 (DID You Know This?)

The Accounting, Comma, and Percentage number format buttons on the Home tab can be modified to apply the format style that you need. This can then be saved to a template.
This technique saves tons of frustration and time when formatting spreadsheets. And in the future, changing the style will automatically update all instances of that format on the workbook. Amazing!

Thanks Alan. I find these decimal places anoying, so thanks for this hot tip. I will definitively make a tamplate file. Mike Girvin made a video about a large LAMBDA function where you could select a range and then all formulas are displayed (=LAMBDA(reference;IFERROR(TOCOL(ADDRESS(ROW(reference);COLUMN(reference);4)&" : "&FORMULATEXT(reference);2);"no formulas in range"))). But saving this as a template in a business onedrive environment was tricky, there are apparently more Book1.xlst files. But I did not try your solution to store the template in personal folder. Thanks mate!

Hello Alan, Also, there is an other way to store your default settings without saving template. Just, open an empty workbook and set your styles and then save as it on your desctop. Then, cut this file to your excel trust center storage folder and paste in it. when you open excel, it will open it with your style as default
