Hi, not sure why it happens, but instances I have heard of this have been fixed by people disconnecting their wifi, removing the app and reinstalling if on a phone, and switching google account or logging out and logging back in again. Never happened to me though sorry so this is only from what I have seen in research.

If the channel you are moving has verification the channel retains it.

You would need to ensure the Google Account has a personal KZfaq account created. If you have moved it from personal to brand account the original KZfaq account may be there but empty, or may not be there at all in which case you need to just create the KZfaq account kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l7Gpl9eAvb2cnX0.html&ab_channel=KZfaqCreators then you should be able to do the same process of moving the channel but choosing the personal account as the destination account. Same rules apply - if there is any new content on the personal channel it will be overwritten.

Hi, that will be the same thing that is happening form around 3:09 to approx 3:35 in the video. It is showing you what the channel is moving from and what it is moving to. The new Brand account will receive all the videos, subscribers and viewer comments, and if there is anything on the destination brand account before the move that will all be overwritten by the old channel when it is moved.

I don't know why it would not be showing up either. If you go to KZfaq, then open the menu by clicking on the channel icon image (top right hand corner) and select settings from the menu it should be around the middle of the screen. There is a Your KZfaq Channel section on screen that should have a few options one of which should be to add or manage channels

If none for them are showing a brand account then I can only guess that they are all personal accounts, and that you will need to create a brand account first. See at 1:15 in the video where it takes you to settings, add or manage channel. If you go there and there are no brand accounts the you will need to create a new brand account first so you have somewhere to move it all to.

Seems like a glitch in the google side of things. I have seen some people mention this and the suggestions were log out and log in again. It may not have any effect though so a search through google and youtube support may be needed.

That is correct. Any content already on he channel you are moving to will be overwritten by the content from the channel you are moving from. If you want to keep the content that content you will need to move it first, or just create a new empty brand account to move the channel to.

I was trying to make a brand account 4 my business & was interrupted & made a personal.. I tried 2 move my personal over 2 a brand & now I sumhow 2 accounts with the same name. 1 personal & now 1 brand. Problem is I wanted my personal to be moved to a brand since it has a custom domain on it. This new brand account that it created win I tried 2 move the personal does not have the custom domain I paid for on it. So now if I switch my personal that has the paid domain over to a brand, will my paid domain name move over to the brand as well?? Do you mean the custom URL you can set when you hit 100 subscribers? or is this a domain name that you have purchased like shatinahouston.com? Gday, If I was a betting man I would say the content you follow would quickly catch up to your preferences because of the algorithms running which are dedicated to serving you more of what you are looking for and seem to want. That said, I don't know for sure. I can not find any information that confirms it one way or the other.

Hey Cali I have never done this myself however I can't see that it would delete anything outside of YT because you are just moving the content form your YT Channel from one location to another location. If the other account already exists and has content on the YT channel that will be overwritten by the content you move but it should not affect gmail, drive etc. The process from what I have read about it elsewhere is that it is essentially the same as moving from personal to brand. You just choose the account you want to move the videos to and it should work the same. There are a few forums on this on Google as well that might be worth looking up.

I don't believe so. They should only have access to the brand account you make them a manager on. I am a manager on a couple of different YT accounts for people and can not see their emails, or any other google related info except the YT channel and analytics.

@@asdf01 when you move the chanel.to a brand account you can invite them to be a manager and your yt channel will appear in their list of accounts. They can swap into your channel like swapping into any other channel. Go to the channel ic9n, choose switch accohnt, thwn select the account. They will then be able to uoad, comment, cge k anayltics etc. If you give them full access they can add and delete content so be sure it is someone ypu can trust. I am not able to dig any deeper right now but I can't recall off the top of my head what sort of access levels there are that can be assigned.

A personal account is the KZfaq Channel created by default when setting up the KZfaq Account. It becomes the default account for the channel. A brand account is an additional channel (like a sub account) that can be created that and also allows other people to be added as mangers (which is not possible on a personal account). Think of it like the personal account being your block of land (homebase) that you own and get access to though your email address. That homebase has all your stuff on it (videos, subscribers etc) That email and password is the only way in. A brand account is like a separate block of land that you buy (2ndproperty) that you own, and you can access through your email address and password, but you can also hire a property manager and give them access with their own email and password. They can work in it but you own it. You can revoke their access at any time. That 2ndproperty is empty when created but you can add stuff to it (videos and subscribers ec) . What you put on your homebase will not appear in the 2ndproperty because they are separate properties. To move a personal account to a brand account is like taking the stuff on your homebase and moving it to a 2ndproperty. This now allows access to be granted to others as described above. When you do this the 2ndproperty takes on teh name of the homebase property and the homebase is now empty and reverts to the name of the email that owns it. This new home is empty and can have stuff (vids and subs) added to it again.

In your situation the channel is owned by the email that you set it up with. You would need to change the channel to a brand account, assign the other email address as a manager, then move ownership of the channel to the other email. Each step takes a certain amount of days to do in the system. So yo take the action (eg move the stuff form personal channel to 2nd channel) then you have to wait a bit before you can assign ownership to the new email. Does that help?

The only way I am aware of is by lodging an appeal. If you have had multiple violations of the standards it is unlikely it will be restored, but if you have had none, you may have a chance. support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802168?hl=en

Hey Toxic Chip, you can make money from a personal channel same as you can on a brand account. Things like affiliate marketing links, brand deals, merch Shelf and promoting your own products as some examples are all possible regardless of which type of account you have. Those things will come in time as you develop a dedicated audience, reach certain levels of subscribers and watch time to meet KZfaqs requirements for monetisation, or serve a need well enough in your videos that people want to purchase your product or service. The benefit of having a brand account over a personal account is having that ability to have another person get access to help manage the channel without needing your personal password.

In a sense what you have written is expected. The old channel will replace the new empty brand account's content and will be removed from the current personal account. So technically ti is being deleted from the old personal account. Is this what the wording is suggesting? if not can you copy and paste the wording here?

@@AVRGJONES That seems like a different version of what I see at 3:30 in this video - it is telling you that this channel, the current channel you are working in will be deleted. Which is essentially what happens. The videos get moved and the channel you are in deleted. Check out the video at 3:30 and see if it feels like what you are seeing.

@@asur2557 ok, so research so far says that it was something able to be done over 3 years ago but Google changed it's policy and stopped the ability for it to happen. It appears that some channels slipped through the cracks when the change took place. Emojis added from a right click in the name section or by copying and pasting from a site like getemoji.com no longer works. I have tested a bunch and that is everything I am seeing in the chats I have found. Googles policy says: (the below has been copied and pasted from the help documentation) Content policy for "About me" information / Google Account name and impersonation There are few other restrictions on your name, but to prevent spam and abuse we might put some limits on names, such as limiting length and the use of some symbols and special characters. We also limit how often you can change your name, and some words and phrases are not allowed. If you find otherwise would be super interested to hear about it!!

Oh that is a little odd. Never seen that happen before. You should be able to still log in with the email you had and access the channel. I can see your subscriber count on the message here so it must still be there. Have you been able to get in since?

Hey Andreas, sorry that wasn't clear. You are right I mention that you lose the custom URL at 3:32 but not how to get it back. The new account needs to meet the KZfaq standard for a Custom URL which means you will need to wait for the new channel to be 30 days old then reclaim your URL. Custom URL eligibility To create a custom URL for your channel, your account needs to: Have 100 or more subscribers. Be at least 30 days old. Have an uploaded profile picture. Have an uploaded banner image.

Definitely another option.

Hey @balletbabyboy sorry to hear about your frustrations. The only way I can think that you could do this is to: Ensure the YT channel is a brand account set up a new google account with the new email. Make that new email / account an owner on the YTchannel make the new google account the primary owner if the channel remove permissions from the old google account. Be aware there may be some wait time required between these steps. @@mrpaulsadams Thanks. I am going crazy with Dell right now. The channel is not a brand account. I have other gmail accounts though incuding one KZfaq account. It's all very confusing. Months ago I had them on chat and they couldn't figure it out. Ridiculous how they make this impossible.

Hi, Yes you can add someone else to manage a brand account. Navigate to yur icon (top left) click settings, add or remove mangers. I do not know how to move your youtube account to be owned by anther email. It maybe possible. I would do a dig into the help centre and see what you can find about channel ownership because I have heard there are channels that are sold and so it makes sense to me that there could be a way to do it, but I have not done the search myself sorry.
